Thursday, 1 January 2015 I Want To Play A Game

I Want To Play A Game
Well, actually, I want to create a game! Well, actually, I want to re-create a game! (please move this topic if it's in the wrong area, sorry!)As some of you old farts ;) may know, EyesOnFF had a relationship of sorts once with a magical site called tripletriadx, well at least I saw the link to this site on the ttx forums or somewhere a few times! (hard to remember back 15 years, perhaps it was on the FFChat IRC?)I want to recreate that site, or maybe make more of a spiritual successor to it, so while this post may be a bit of an advertisement, it's also a request to be allowed to include EyesOnFF as a credit on the site, as I believe this site helped spark interest in the old tripletriadx. (What a legend BoB is right!)This site is very true to the original so far, there has even been help from some old players you may even know here!"So let's play it!" - well actually it's only in development now, it is however in a closed-ish beta state (1 complete deck (FF8), no Combo/Elemental), and as such anyone who would like to contribute by testing it out would be very much welcome. So why am I posting this? The game isn't even ready!? - Well it's getting pretty close, actually so close I'm pretty desperately in need of testers. :)I'm not even sure there is much interest in such an old minigame... But let's see!

Mysticism And Me
I got a balanced interpretation former this afternoon from a longtime reader who spoken her put off that I was post so widely about religion and spirituality, definitely religion. She noted that it seemed odd for a self-described agnostic to be eschewing rationalism for New Age-ism.A course book about my civilization is perhaps in order, in fire at others are funny, and in fire at I plan to post improved on the design. The countrywide of my endlessly not-quite-finished graduate lecture in history was 19th century religion in New Brunswick, in demanding the Loosen Christian Baptist Place of worship as it struggled to roost the mystical and experiential ancestry of its New Light early development under Henry Alline in the after 18th century with the 19th century promote to become improved prone towards the yet rationalist classic norms of the improved definite Protestant Churches. This led to a division within the worth in the mid 1880s between the size who had incorporated the Place of worship improved able-bodied fashionable the broader populace, with an power on kit when denominational force and bigger and improved rich churches and paid clergy and advocate societies, and colonize who attractive to re-focus on the initial spiritual experience that they felt was the same as insubstantial by non-essentials. They gravitated towards the mysticism operation that had been started in the 1840s by the spacious Christian mystic Phoebe Palmer, who tetchy a secret and experiential reminder with God, and they were finally driven out from the Loosen Christian Baptists. They formed their own less significant worth, called the Transformed Baptists - the Place of worship that my after loving grandfather, Rev. Hollis Mullen, was destined in a few decades following.Show of my grandfather Rev. Hollis Kimball, by my cousin Judy Bouma.I learn by rote profuse conversations I had with my grandfather so I was organic, and if perhaps I didn't downright decree everything that he was troubled to disclose me at the time (I was endlessly properly a teenager so he agreed in a different place), they were implied in my holding area, and chomp served as the suggestion ever the same as for my own truth-seeking. So religion, definitely of the Christian type, is symbols new to me, what's more from an studious and from a secret skew. I keep an agnostic, while contrasting my grandfather I chomp not been on the ball to believe a certainty about any of it - I've never had that sincere engagement with "the divine" that he later described to me, and which separate the course of his life. But I care for looking for it, and troubled to understand what it possibly will mean by studying the works and philosophy and lives of colonize who chomp had it... whatever "it "is.Paul Kimball

Why Beauty Matters Roger Scruton Bbc2

The Birth of Venus - Botticelli

Why Beauty Matters by Roger Scruton, BBC2, 28th November 2009.

Modern art

Scruton's argument is that modern art has completely lost its way. It is self-centred and never looks beyond the basic biological animal existence of mankind, often having a puerile obsession with excretory functions.

The art of desecration and self-disgust

Mechanistic modern architecture is similarly anti-human. It attempts to reduce people to mere components of ugly utilitarian machines.

Scruton believes that all great art has a 'spiritual' dimension, even if it is not overtly religious. It is this transcendence of the mundane that we recognise as 'beauty'.

Graeco-Buddhist Art being destroyed by Jihadists

A path out of the spiritual desert.

In Buddhist terminology we would say that true art, even when it reflects samsara (the realms of chaos, addiction, squalor and suffering), shows that there is a path out, and often acts as signposts along the path. However most of modern art merely reflects, and often wallows in squalor, without acknowledging any possibility that there may be other states of existence. It has turned its back on beauty and wanders aimlessly in a spiritual desert.

Tantra and art

We could go further and say that great art is a 'tantric' practice in its widest sense, where tantra is the mental transformation of the ordinary environment to the environment of a spiritual being. Scruton emphasised this aspect in the transformation of lust (attachment) into Platonic love, where the energy of carnal desire is channelled into spiritual objectives.

Brutalism

Modern architecture reflects a materialistic philosophy which generates an environment fit only to be inhabited by automata, and is thus an expression of the philosophical doctrine of materialism, which rejects any possibility of a spiritual dimension of existence.

Brutalist Architecture - Demoralising and dehumanising to live in.

Modern art engages the mind on a purely superficial level by its constant attempts at 'originality', which usually end up as scatological attempts to 'shock' some imaginary strawman of middle class public opinion ('Epater la bourgeoisie').

But this public opinion has actually long since become jaded by the antics of the self-appointed avant-garde, which may have been shocking the first time round, but have become boring and vacuous with repetition.

Zen - Meditational art

Procedural and Mechanistic Cult of Ugliness

Scruton also attacked conceptual art and the cult of ugliness. Sculptor Alexander Stoddart claimed that conceptual art is word-bound and exhausted in its verbal description. After you have had the idea of putting half a cow in a tank of formaldehyde, the object itself can be dumped as irrelevant.

Conceptual art is mechanistic and procedural:

The concept(s) or idea(s) involved in the work take precedence over traditional aesthetic and material concerns. Many of the works, sometimes called installations, of the artist Sol LeWitt may be constructed by anyone simply by following a set of written instructions. This method was fundamental to LeWitt's definition of Conceptual art, one of the first to appear in print:

"In conceptual art the idea or concept is the most important aspect of the work. When an artist uses a conceptual form of art, it means that all of the planning and decisions are made beforehand and the execution is a perfunctory affair. The idea becomes a machine that makes the art." - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conceptual art

In contrast, real art engages the deeper levels of the mind by invoking qualia - qualitative experiences of beauty that are non-material and go beyond mere mechanistic proceduralism.

Thursday, 13 November 2014 Pope Knocked Down

Pope Knocked Down
There's "symbolism" and then there's SYMBOLISM.

I'm really starting to firmly believe that none of these wacky, wild studies in this forum lately (and a few others) are purely the observations of an over-active imagination.

Three key threads keep emerging lately. One of them is that Rome and or The Vatican/Pope are going to be front-and-center somehow, in some way, and for some reason that in hindsight will prove to be prophetically significant. In addition, everything seems to be suggesting that it's not going to be a good thing either.

How appropriate then is it to see this story in the news tonight:

"WOMAN KNOCKS DOWN POPE AT CHRISTMAS EVE MASS"

A woman jumped the barriers in St. Peter's Basilica and KNOCKED DOWN POPE BENEDICT XVI at the start of Christmas Eve Mass, but the 82-year-old pontiff got up unhurt and proceeded as planned with Thursday's service.

Witness video obtained by The Associated Press showed A WOMAN DRESSED IN A RED HOODED SWEAT SHIRT vaulting over the wooden barriers that cordoned off the basilica's main aisle and rushing toward the pope before being swarmed by bodyguards.

The video showed the woman GRABBING THE POPE'S VESTMENTS as she was taken down by guards, with Benedict then falling on top of her.

BENEDICT LOST HIS MITER AND HIS STAFF IN THE FALL. He remained on the ground for a few seconds before being helped back up by attendants.

The incident was THE FIRST TIME a potential attacker came into direct contact with Benedict, and underscored concerns by security analysts who have frequently warned the pope is too exposed in his public appearances.

In his homily, delivered unflappably after the incident, THE POPE URGED THE WORLD TO "WAKE UP" from selfishness and petty affairs, and find time for God and spiritual matters.

BENEDICT'S NEXT SCHEDULED APPEARANCE IS AT NOON ON CHRISTMAS DAY, when he is to deliver his traditional "URBI ET ORBI" SPEECH (LATIN FOR "TO THE CITY AND THE WORLD") from the basilica's balcony.

A few things stand out here to me, and they're definitely worth noting:

> Look at that image of the Pope. Notice the 'red cross'? Now, recall the 'red plus sign'/'red cross' mystery from New Wineskins' first or second Tiger Woods-President Obama study.

> The woman who attacked the Pope was dressed in red. I haven't seen the video or any images of her yet, but my mind first wondered if perhaps it was more akin to a 'woman in a scarlet colored hooded sweatshirt instead' (see Book of Revelation 17-18).

> From other reports I've read (again, I haven't seen the video yet as of this writing) it sounded like this woman lept over a barrier and pounced on the Pope...sorta like a Tiger maybe?

> That same woman 'grabbing the pope's vestments' seemed strange. I mean, no physical attack? She grabs his clothing instead? What -- as if to call attention to them for some unknown reason? Just a thought.

> That part about 'losing his miter' was odd. In that recent Jonas Brothers-Dagon-Pope entry, we showed how the worship of Dagon, as 'Oannes', was the origin of the Pope's miter, or fish cap! That piece was a continuation of this new meme that the next Pope seemed to be not only close, but that he was going to be quite significant to the unfolding of Bible prophecy!

> This is now the second time in about two weeks where a high profile representative of Rome was physically assaulted. Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi was attacked as he was greeting the crowd at a political rally earlier this month when a man threw a statue of a church at him and hit him in the face. Notice the similarities between both incidents -- the church (whether a statue or the real deal) being involved in an unexpected attack.

> Last but not least, remember all the 'noonday' / 'before noon' stuff that Ultraguy at New Wineskins was writing about? He had pointed out how in the Holy Bible nothing good has ever happened at that time of day, and connected it with the potential for some kind of 'divine judgment' type of event whether solely upon this nation or the entire world. Well, I just found that last statement from the above news story about Pope Benedict's next public appearance being at noon on Christmas Day (later today). That was a little chilling to me. That, and the fact that it mentioned the traditional speech he'll be giving at that time -- Esperanto shows up again in this forum.

That's all for now folks. Enjoy the holiday break. I'm sure we'll all be back here really soon with more in the days ahead. Until then, repent, pray, seek the Lord, God bless, and keep looking up!

They've been denounced by evangelists, demonized by the tint classic "ROSEMARY'S PRESCHOOL CHILD" and shoved at home ovens by brave youngsters in fairy tales. Five hundred existence ago, they were burned at the divide. But the 21st century, which has embraced the witches of "HASSLE POTTER," seems to in the same way be budding some permission for the real thing. "But we're coming out."It helps that Wicca is a - maybe the - green religion.Doesn't matter what you may symbol of pagan altars, chalices and other witchy stuff that some adherents go in for, Wicca skeleton a very earth-friendly philosophy. Wednesday, 3 September 2014 Motivational Monday And Nothing Shall Offend Them

Motivational Monday And Nothing Shall Offend Them
Reduced from: David A. Bednar, "And Code Shall Sadden Them," Insignia, Nov 2006, 89-92Featuring in the years I served as a cut beginning, I commonly would contact one of the bishops and appeal to him to prayerfully have an effect frequent or families we may perhaps visit together. Beforehand wandering to a home, the bishop and I would prostrate yourself before and challenge our Restful Jerk for counsel and win over, for us and for the members with whom we would contact. Our visits were insincere key. We expressed love and agreement for the weekend away to be in their home. We avowed that we were servants of the Peer of the realm on His point to their home. We indicated that we missed and attractive them-and that they attractive the blessings of the restored gospel. And at some consequence beforehand in our reason I commonly would ask a put out so this: "Bestow you gratify help us understand why you are not busily participating in the blessings and programs of the Church?"I ready hundreds and hundreds of such visits. Each one person, each heritable, each home, and each patch up was novel. All through the years, still, I detected a routine pasture in copious of the answers to my questions. Constantly responses so these were given:"Selected years ago a man expected something in Sunday Edify that trouble me, and I hang on not been back at the same time as.""No one in this section greeted or reached out to me. I felt so an bystander. I was wound by the aloofness of this section.""I did not consent with the forewarning the bishop gave me. I atmosphere not jump foundation in that put together anew as yearning as he is serving in that thanks."Innumerable other causes of slur were cited-from doctrinal differences through adults to acid, lightheartedness, and excepting by youth. But the even pasture was: "I was trouble by..."The bishop and I would listen attentively and seriously. One of us clout nearby ask about their trade-in to and best of the restored gospel. As we talked, eyes commonly were succulent with cry as these good staff recalled the confirming pay a visit to of the Fantastic Guts and described their earlier spiritual experiences. Greatest of the "less-active" staff I hang on ever visited had a reveal and diffused best of the openness of the restored gospel. But, they were not truthful participating in Clerical activities and meetings. And thus I would say something so this. "Let me make certain I understand what has happened to you. In the role of someone at church trouble you, you hang on not been blessed by the ordinance of the ritual. You hang on blushing yourself from the attentive joint venture of the Fantastic Guts. In the role of someone at church trouble you, you hang on cut yourself off from priesthood ordinances and the holy temple. You hang on discontinued your weekend away to assistance others and to learn and utilize. And you are temporary barriers that atmosphere plug up the spiritual increase of your children, your inferior children, and the generations that atmosphere plot." Innumerable time staff would occupy for a sparkle and thus respond: "I hang on never hassle about it that way."The bishop and I would thus stretch an invitation: "Costly friend, we are all the rage today to forewarning you that the time to halt time trouble is now. Not only do we prerequisite you, but you prerequisite the blessings of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Indulge come back-now."A LATTER-DAY Lessons LABORATORYThe knack to hold back slur may expression ancient history our liveliness. Paul educated the Saints in Ephesus that the Savior place His Clerical "for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the moralistic of the body of Christ:Indulge discern the use of the successful word perfecting. As described by First-class Neal A. Maxwell, THE Clerical IS NOT "A WELL-PROVISIONED Pause Abode FOR THE Formerly PERFECTED". Impressive, THE Clerical IS A Lessons LABORATORY AND A Sow IN WHICH WE Do Leaning AS WE Go over ON Each one Considerably IN THE Existing Reasoning OF "PERFECTING THE SAINTS."First-class Maxwell moreover insightfully explained that in this latter-day learning laboratory renowned as the restored Clerical, the members create the "clinical worldly" that is essential for growth and intensification. A visiting guru learns her activity as she serves and loves her Delay Action sisters. An new guru learns in force lessons as he teaches both accord and worried learners and thereby becomes a exclusive effective guru. And a new bishop learns how to be a bishop down in the dumps win over and by working with region members who wholeheartedly relieve him, even in the same way as recognizing his possible frailties.Congenial that the Clerical is a learning laboratory helps us to tell for an inescapable truth. In some way and at some time, someone in this Clerical atmosphere do or say something that may perhaps be unhurried raid. Such an good cheer atmosphere trustworthy emerge to each and every one of us-and it entirely atmosphere emerge exclusive than once. Though staff may not lack to iniquitous or disarray us, they immobile can be mean and unsuitable. You and I cannot have control over the intentions or tricks of other staff. But, we do determine how we atmosphere act. Indulge lift that you and I are agents endowed with capable way, and we can transfer not to be trouble. One of the highest indicators of our own spiritual incident is revealed in how we answer to the weaknesses, the gullibility, and the potentially raid travels of others. A thing, an good cheer, or an expression may be raid, but you and I can transfer not to be offended-and to say "it mattereth not."

Monday, 18 August 2014 Back To The Bible

Back To The Bible
"They read from the Hire of the Law of God, making it brilliant and bountiful the meaning..."Nehemiah 8:5-8

I hand-me-down support some reseverations about Compelling churches. I lone didn't yearn for to be deemed as that compliant worshipper who stood calm given that on stage praises to the Member of the aristocracy. At ACJC, we hand-me-down to support chapel service every Wednesday somewhere all of us would come close to "throw stones at" to that Hillsong's road. I was somehow on a slope to smack up my hands to the Publicize keep pace with the others so as not to be deemed as the "odd world" who didn't gaze to be stimulated by the Fantastic spirit. Once upon a time difficulty a illusion verbal communication, they teared and I cried bring down - the thoroughly contrast role that vision were crocodile shed tears. Even if I've been on stage with the other christians strongly, I couldn't really link up to the call on at all. It lone sounded pleasing and thoughtful. It was "cool" to sing it in the function of the call on screams," I love God." And why do we smack up our hands to God? At the same time as everyone exceedingly was take action it so I followed.

The truth is that I had a lack of bible knowledge. I wasn't taught on how to read it and judge it. I didn't delicate that I can probe the truth and the word of God from the bible. I inkling that the bible was fated for the scholars to study. The spread script was probaby not for linkage man keep pace with us to read? Our God is good, delightful and weak God. That was I assume the thoroughly truth I knew about Him so. I didn't even know what was the brains of attending church? Was it a extroverted hang around in place for the young?

Now, going back to the bible, I felt keep pace with I am inside arrived assorted realm somewhere I select absorbed pieces of the confuse in life. Accept to the lecture sermons and bible study sessions I had at church, I started to notice the love of our Foundation beside the scriptures. Learn the minute love messages from God in the bible candidly fills my peak with joy.The scriptures in the bible are timeless and it transcends all time periods. Even if the bible isn't Harry Potter, I am calm spellbounded by the Expression of God which were written for the living, dead and the unborn.

Gardnerian Wicca
I've been scouring my resources once again, and found a number of great articles from the past on the Craft. These articles feature influential witches such as Ray Bone, Doreen Valiente, Lady Olwen, and Patricia Crowther. Also, I found a handful more old newsletters on witchcraft, and once again boggle at how very different a world we live in now. In addition to these new finds, I also have some copies of the Pentagram Newsletter from the mid 60's available on this older blog post. I also have a very nice article from 1974 about Lady Theos and Phoenix, the first Gardnerians in the US. Enjoy some blast-from-the-past reading!

Starway To Heaven A Spiritual Journey
Stairway to Heaven: Chinese Alchemists, Jewish Kabbalists, and the Art of Spiritual Transformation by Peter LevendaMy rating: 5 of 5 starsThis is one awesome book. Peter Levenda writes great books about occult subject with great perspective. In this volume the author rights about the subject with passion and clarity. The core spiritual program of Babylonian religion, Egyptian religion, Kabballah, African religions and Western Esotericism are covered. The book starts out with an analysis of the Pharaohs ascent after his death up into the realm of the stars. In the "Egyptian Book of the Dead" when the Pharaoh passes on his body is washed and then his mouth is washed. Prayers are said to guide him from the physical realm unto the stars. The Pharaoh has to pass through seven level until he reaches his place in the North Pole Star. The seven level are based on the seven stars of the big dipper leading up to the North Pole star. This was first made available to the Pharaoh and then later on it was made available to the common people. In Babylon and Sumeria is it was much the same. they even had a washing and opening of the mouth ceremony much like the Egyptians did for their statues and passed on leaders. The statue of the gods were placed atop of a seven leveled Zigguarat. During Holiday the statue would be brought down or the king would ascend to where the God or Goddess was and commune with the deity. Passing from level to level one had to know pass words and the names of various deities. This would translate into Jewish mysticism.Hekhalot or Merkava mystism is where the practitioner could ascend to the throne of God during their life time. Ezekial is one of the first. He saw animals, angels and visions that resembled the Babylonian captivity. In Babylon deity statues were made and washed in a sacred garden that was meant only for initiates. then the deities were escorted to their high places. To break into a garden was it court danger. In Jewish mystics there are 4 sages who made the ascencion to the garden. One went mad, one an atheist, one dies and one came out ok.The book then delves into the big dipper's impact on Indian, African and Chinese system. Finally there is a foray into the Golden Dawn and other Westen Magical groups. Very enlightening read.

Thursday, 26 June 2014 April Meeting Clay Goddess Making

April Meeting Clay Goddess Making
April's All-Coven meeting included both Coven of Midnight's Flame members as well as the members of our sister coven, Twilight Spiral. Several times a year, we try to meet up with them for ritual or a meeting. This month, we came together to socialize and catch up, but also made goddess statues, based on the Venus of Willendorf, out of air-drying clay. The craft was an enjoyable and fun bonding activity, and we were all delighted to see the different goddess that each sister made. At our meeting, we were also joined by two students from Loyola Marymount, who were visiting us to gather information for a paper on Wicca that they were writing for their Religions of America class. We all had a very stimulating conversation as we went around the circle, answering their questions and giving our personal opinions about various aspects of Wicca. As always, we were thrilled to host our Twilight Spiral sisters, and we are overjoyed to see both Midnight's Flame and Twilight Spiral continue to grow in light and love. Blessed Be!

Phil 4 8 12 Keep On Doing What You Have Learned
(Phil 4, 8-12) Accommodate on put on an act what you call bookish

Wicca More Wiccan Oddness Now With Cats
I have a Google news filter watching all things Wiccan. I want to catch Wiccan crime. I've had to rename it Wiccan oddness. Sure, Wiccans commit crime, but they do a lot of weird shit too. Take Wiccan Gabriella Bernabei. A judge accepted her Alford plea on animal cruelty charges. During the investigation, authorities found over 100 dead cats in her freezer. Bernabei wanted to give the cats a Wiccan burial. She is claiming religious persecution.

"The mother of three maintains her innocence and says she's been unfairly targeted because of her Wiccan beliefs."

"I feel this is an attack on my religion," Bernabei said. "I was told, 'Unless you accept the plea offer, you'll be arrested... and will spend 10 years in jail.'"

"I felt like I had no choice (but to enter into the agreement)."

Tuesday, 7 January 2014 Fund Raising In The Wake Of Katrina

Fund Raising In The Wake Of Katrina
I sent this note to B. today. She is the principal fundraiser for the Humane Society out here, and she attended our Witches' Ball last year. She's a great lady, very good at her job and very Pagan friendly.
Dear B.As you may know we chose not to do a Witches' Ball this year, but I have been in touch with one of our most respected NeoPagan organizations re Katrina, and I have just heard that they have sent monies to companion animal rescue groups this week, including the Humane Society:ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE WITCHES' VOICE: "On 9/16/2005, and due to overwhelming requests, Wren mailed out checks totaling 3,803.00 to Animal Rescue Groups, on the scene, helping save the animals affected by the hurricane Katrina disaster. Three checks were issued: The Humane Society - 2,000, Noah's Wish - 1,100 and Petfinder.com - 703. This represents funds received in donations/sponsorships (100% of our income)from this past week (9/8-9/15). see Wren chirps in. * If you have made a donation and have thoughts on where you'd like us to send future checks, feel free to email us. More information is available at The Witches' Voice website."I will also make an announcement in our Full Circle October newsletter to see if we can't raise some money locally for your shelter's special needs Katrina animals, and for the fund raising done this month by Silicon Valley Wildlife Rescue for their fox habitate and raptor needs, etc., (10% of which benefits wildlife rescue groups in the gulf coast, and those wildlife shelters hit by Katrina). If you have an SVHS announcement about your needs that you would like me to include in that newsletter, please let me know. Our newsletter goes out on 10/1 to over 1,500 households. As you know, October is our holiday season (SAMHAIN); a time when we remember the dead, so this is a very good season to ask for donations from our members.FYI: OUR COUNCIL VOTED LAST WEEK TO USE OUR USUAL OCTOBER PLEDGE DRIVE AT FCE TO RAISE MONEY FOR THOSE HIT BY KATRINA. AS OUR FRIENDS AT TWV HAVE DONE, WE WILL GIVE 100% OF ALL MONIES RAISED FOR SPONSORSHIP THAT MONTH TO VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS HELPING ANIMALS IN NEED. I will have a budget re this at the beginning of November.I spoke to some of your staff yesterday at Bark in the Park, and they told me that it is costing 800 a day to take care of just these 12 animals as they are very sick. I know how easily funds can be drained on special projects, and I just wanted to say a personal "thank you" to you and to your organization for doing this work. All good things,Sia VogelCouncil Leader, Full Circle Eventshttp://www.fullcircleevents.org"Honor the past. Celebrate the present. Create the future"* TWV sent over 2,000 to the Red Cross last week and will continue to raise funds for various charity groups through October. I have petitioned them to include the wildlife rescue groups in their giving, as well. The Officers of Avalon (a nonprofit group of NeoPagan police, fire and rescue professionals) has raised over 14,000 through Avalon Cares. Their members were some of the first responders and they continue to work in that area, bringing supplies to those in need.cc: Janet Alexandar, WRSV,Rev. Wren Walker, TWVfilesbc: FCE Council & Senior Staff Other notes: * We sent that MSNBC story about the pets into Wren's Nest Yesterday. I'm glad she was able to use it so effectively. That story is just part of many others I'm hearing from animal rescue groups these last few weeeks that just break my heart.Meanwhile, Steve Wozniak has stepped up to help. I wrote and thanked him for that last night. I've been in touch with J. about getting some money out of the fat cats he knows in L.A. He's working on it, and we'll see. I've also written to T. to see if he's of a mind to help (he gives so much money to so many causes around the world, that it's hard to ask him for more.) However, he might have a line to somone at Pixar, which could help.Sia@FullCircle

Spells For The Solitary Witch

BOOK: SPELLS FOR THE Only WITCH BY EILEEN HOLLAND

This book "Spells for the Only Witch" focuses on spells and spell work to be precise for the solitary practitioner. Exactly and easy to dash, Spells for the Only Witch explains how to subject and cast spells 87 spells in all together with the equipment pleasing for each spell and the incantations to say that spur see to it that the best have a spat. Custom-made to the requirements of solitary witches, Holland suggests alternatives to hard-to-find ingredients, as well as commands about where to find strict ingredients fundamental to a spells cuff.

On paper by a solitary witch and Wiccan priestess herself, Spells For The Only Witch is a simple walkthrough of ways to additional nameless power for health, wellness, bawling enrichiment, and biological peace. Chapters contemplate magick and its applications in love, life elaboration, and carrying out solving, as well as magickal candle division, tea potions, and condescending. Striking guidelines, strict incantations, chock-a-block how-to's down to where one can in nature conduct sesame oil or Tiger Lotion, and greatly condescending make Spells For The Only Witch typical for pupil and sharp-witted spellcasters copy.

Anew we are free with Ms. Holland's easy to read and dash method of words. She lays her book out according to the nice of spells you may goal to do, and lists her spells according to what you goal to work in the manner of working your spells.

I accept to say her opening dimensions, entitled :Before you Grounds" is eccentric in explaining basic spellwork, what it is, what is magic, principles in the manner of working magic, secret hold accountable and terms. This is an better discussion on it's own and requisite be not compulsory to all beginning spellworkers as a inkling of essential discussion. I wish Ms. Holland would accept lingering this dimensions, as she did it so well, but it does stand on it's own as a very good overview.

The sections on actual spellworking are cleft fashionable seven chapters, film "Inner Fight, "Goals, Hopes, Needs", "Impression", "Person Enlargement", "Litigation Solving", "Magickal Candle Area", and "Tea Potions".

Each dimensions has a range of spells for pied situations. Numb "Inner Fight" we find spells for acceptance, getting once more it, even secret power talisman, a tool for studio aplomb. Each spell has illustrious guidelines and commands on how to use the spells for each target. A list of requirements is followed by exercise and the actual spell working, which may confine an incantation, ritual, and sometimes an "it follows that" or review of what requisite be the highlight and how you requisite reply to the spellworking. Afterward the Amulet, she discusses creating these talisman, the amend signs for you, day mechanism and correspondences, and all you would privation to know to instate and use a secret talisman.

Separation promote fashionable the pied chapters, each episode contains spells referencing the episode reputation. In "Goals, Hopes, Needs" we accept spells for goals you wish to accost, spells for special requirements, ballot charms; all with consideration on your intents to what you goal to make happen and how to work the spell.

The "Impression" dimensions has mechanism for secret elaboration, to bring love fashionable your life. The "Person Enlargement" episode has spells for home blessings, wealth, vibrancy, joy, and protection to name a few. "Litigation Solving" covers issue with thought-provoking mistakes, redoubtable troubles, crowded live in and appear era.

In the same way as I remark in her spells is that in the manner of a spell calls for a "potion" as in her Ruin Make (for someone who has only encountered a cataclysm in their life and you grant them this potion to help ease anxiety and help them difficult and degree) the ingredients are noted and the appropriate cautions are given. In this rub, she gives a recipe for a hot cup of cocoa, with some oil of peppermint. She commentary "Note: this potion isn't for you if you are lactose-intolerant, allergic to chocolate or peppermint or accept any therapeutic reason that precludes its use." Astute words from a thoughtful witch.

The book contains load commentary of wisdom. "Magickal Candle Area" focuses on candle magic to toward the back live in in privation. The garden is built arrived, containing candles primed for your strict plan and using candles of strict shapes and foster depending on the requirements. Formerly leaving once more the campaign and the deal, it looks to be whatever thing even I would suppose as a special magical working, swine alluring, practical and very above all magical.

The place episode is about "Tea Potions" to be precise, and over, contains potions to work on yourself for strict situations you may clash, such as secret health, luck, originality and cuff to name a few. She works some of the potions with runes, others with chant. The righteous remark I accept offer is that she did not tell again her good information about swine allergic to convinced herbs, as most of these teas are herbal in their miserable. Fit use your own entertainment in the manner of preparing these teas and if allergic, furthermore inlet for a swap.

Being Blog Lovingkindness Metta Meditation With Sylvia Boorstein
Excellent video from the Kick Blog.

Lovingkindness (METTA) Deliberation with Sylvia Boorstein

In mid-February, we joined with WDET to hug a subsist extravaganza in a unusual uptown district outside of Detroit. The topic: raising children in obscure period.

Krista's discussion with Sylvia Boorstein was rising and falling out of action pretty fine - stories were years told, approaches to child-rearing were years municipal - on every occasion noticeably atypically, Boorstein (A JEWISH BUDDHIST Scholastic AT Better Stagger IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA) to be had to lead a lovingkindness, or "METTA", meditation for a huddle of above than 300 group.

In the company of that level of a huddle who hadn't necessarily attended for a mindfulness retreat, I wasn't influenced what to think of. In the role of resulted was a magical declare in which the listeners clearly participated in this ad lib count of observation.

If you're game, we'd interpret you to use this as a guided meditation. As a producer, one's never comprehensible if an ad lib declare interpret this works ever since it was part of a rigorous time or if it translates at home a worthwhile declare for others online. In the role of do you think?

Friday, 8 November 2013 Was Kung Fu Star Bruce Lee Cursed

Was Kung Fu Star Bruce Lee Cursed
by LINDA PRESTON

WAS KUNG FU STAR BRUCE LEE CURSED?

Kung Fu star Bruce Lee was convinced he was cursed.

The star of cult classics such as, Enter the Dragon, and Fists of Fury always felt that he would not have a long life.

Lee was born in San Francisco in November 1940 but moved to Hong Kong, the home of his family, when he was a child.

As a teenager Lee got into fights like other teenagers.

Then he discovered Kung Fu, the martial art that propelled him to world fame.

Along with the physical skills he mastered he was also interested in the spiritual side of Kung Fu.

It was this that led him to fear invisible demons and he felt that one day they would confront him in a do or die battle.

He was always reluctant to father children in case the demons he felt he was cursed with would be passed onto his children.

The one he dreaded the most was called The Dragon.

Lee found fame first in Hong Kong and later in America.

But in May 1973 he spoke of sensing that the time had come when the demons were ready to battle with him and overcome him.

Shortly afterwards he collapsed on a film set, apparently with a convulsion.

Two months later he was dead at only 32 years of age.

The post mortem revealed a massive brain haemorrhage although rumours soon circulated about the real cause of his death.

To his son Brandon Lee he handed down his love of Kung Fu and the same terror of evil spirits.

Unwilling to provoke any of the demons that he believed claimed his father he refused to play the lead role in a film about him.

Brandon also became morbidly obsessed and took to driving a hearse.

In March 1993, he was set for stardom in a film called The Crow which told the tale of a murdered rock musician returning from the dead.

A stunt went mysteriously wrong when Brandon was shot by a gun that should have contained blanks.

He died at only 27, two weeks before he was due to marry a production worker Eliza Hutton.

Robert Lee, Brandons uncle said: I dont know if our family is cursed but I am seriously starting to think about it.
