MYTHOLOGY, FOLKLORE AND WITCHCRAFT
This programme looks at the new paganism, the contemporary revivals of witchcraft and druidry, Goddess spirituality and environmental concerns. The course will focus on:
* Continuities between spiritualities of the past and renewed interest in them today as reformulated for modern life
* The return of the Goddess - the role of spiritual feminism
* The new paganism and the varieties of witchcraft emerging over the past 50 years including the Wicca, traditional witchcraft and hedge witchcraft. Emergent druidry, and especially its links to sites such as Stonehenge, will be explored
* Mystical ecology - ecopaganism and the rebirth of the tribe.
These topics will be critically evaluated throughout the course using the tools of the social sciences.
The course begins on 22 September and lasts for 10 weeks, every Thursday evening from 7pm to 9pm, at Hortensia Centre, Hortensia Road, London SW10 0QS.

THE MAGICAL CONSCIOUSNESS
This course looks at the long and honourable tradition that has existed across cultures of alternative ways of thinking and being to the dominant paradigm of Western rationality. These ways of knowing have been expressed in many forms, including Renaissance Hermeticism, the Rosicrucian enlightenment as well as the various angelologies deriving from the Judao-Christian matrix.
Such perspectives can be summed up by the term 'the magical consciousness' and have their underpinnings in symbolic discourse, mythology, Neo-Platonism and Gnosticism. Alchemy, the Jewish kabbalah and theurgy, for instance, all ultimately share similar philosophies of magic that had innumerable devotees throughout the ages and have never fully died out, only being partially submerged by the tides of scientific thinking and Western rationality.
Increasingly, the 19th and 20th centuries saw a revival of interest in such traditional thought forms and practices informing esoteric spirituality. This has found its expression in a variety of cultural phenomena including groups, lodges and schools of which examples will be given.

Monday, 3 November 2014 The Hoodoo Truth Anna Riva Oils
The good thing about Anna Riva oils is that they are strongly scented. In fact, they scent does not fade with time. I have a bottle of Anna Riva amber oil that I bought years ago that still smells just as strong as it did when I first bought it.
Now, as I mentioned above the first teacher to teach me to use spiritual oils worked exclusively with Anna Riva oils. However, she would add roots or herbs to the bottles and pray over them. When doing professional work with clients she would also remove the label from the bottle and give them to the client to use. So this was how I was taught to use Anna Riva oils, to add natural roots or herbs to the bottles and to pray over it.
I currently have about 3 bottles, protection, amber, & rose, of Anna Riva oil in my stash of spiritual oils. I don't care what people online have to say. Anna Riva oils have always worked for me. I've always seen results when using them. This said I have payed 7-10 for spiritual oils by big name people online that haven't produced any results for me. Now why would I continue to pay up to 10 for a bottle that contains natural ingredients but that doesn't work compared to paying for a reasonably priced bottle of Anna Riva oils to which I add natural ingredients and which always work for me? It's doesn't make sense for me to continue purchasing expensive oils from online occult shops. Therefore I no longer purchase any of the expensive spiritual oils from big names online.
Now, the only problems I have with Anna Riva oils is that they aren't sold in 1 oz size. You can purchase them in a 4 oz or 16 oz sizes but that seems a bit unreasonable to me. I prefer 1 oz sizes and currently Anna Riva is not being sold in 1 oz sizes. The closest is there 1/4 oz size. Another problem I have is that the gold label quickly wears off and you have to create your own label or risk forgetting what type of oil it is. I've found that if you put clear tape over the label you can make it last longer. A person online also recommended for me to try applying clear fingernail polish to the label so I will have to try that. The last problem I have is with the oils for enemy work. Oils for enemy work shouldn't smell nice and pretty. They should be strong and somewhat offensive. For that reason I do not use Anna Riva's enemy work oils. For such I rely solely on the oils I make myself with essential oils added to a carrier oil base or from the cold or hot infusion method of making oils.
So the purpose of this blog entry is to try to counteract the nonsense online. Professional workers have and do use Anna Riva oils. You can and will see success when using them.

* It should be done in a "spirit of gentleness." A harsh rebuke almost never brings someone closer to Jesus. It only erects walls between his people.
* You must "keep watch on yourself" during the whole process. When the other person reacts defensively and questions your judgment, morality, and right to question him (as he might), you'll be tempted to respond in pride and arrogance. You'll want to start using all the ammunition you've been storing up in your mind over the years, reminding the other person about all the ways he's offended you, failed you, and disappointed you. Did you notice all those "you's"? They have nothing to do with restoring the other person, and therefore no place in your conversation.
* Be ready to "bear one another's burdens" over the long haul. The process of restoration probably won't happen overnight. Offer your ongoing love, support, and gentle accountability to your partner. Help him take concrete steps to overcome the sin through God's Spirit-empowered grace, which is the "law of Christ."
They close the section with this: "The further you get into kingdom partnership, the harder it will be to avoid differences and even conflict. But if, by the Spirit, you come out on the other side with your partnership intact, then you will probably start seeing God work in ways that you never thought possible. Remember the need and opportunity that brought you together, and work hard to see the gospel advance because of your shared commitment to the mission God called you to pursue."

I must agree with Gordon that there is no better easy text for inducing doubt concerning the standard rationalist paradigm.
2: Cunning Folk & Familiar Spirits- Emma Wilby
Introduces basic shamanistic concepts in a western historical context, and makes a great case for how modern people could come to perceive relationship with the spirits.
3: The Way of Wyrd - Brian Bates
This scholastically reasonable historical novel is specifically built to lead from a more modern perspective into the ancient ways. Wish it was Irish and not Saxon, but oh well.
4: Ancient Irish Tales - Cross and Slover
There are many summaries and retellings of the lore - this one is a good, fairly direct translation - a good secondary source. (OTHERS MIGHT HAVE BEEN ELLIS OR MARKALE)
5: Celtic Heritage - Rees & Rees
Where C&S provide the raw materials, R&R offer comparative mythic analysis that breathes some spirit into the old texts.

Germanic lore fills in many gaps in Celtic material, and vice-versa. This is an excellent one-stop body of lore, informed with a practitioner's notes and methods.

So a common request, to a Spiritual worker or Witch, is often how to heal the sick relative, friend etc.
Magick can work miracles in this department, but common health care should come first. Yes, magick can cure what medicine is unable, however only medical experts can diagnose health conditions properly and treat urgent traumas. If there were ever spells or any form of magickal procedures, charms or potions that could heal instantaneously even the most severe of traumas, today such knowledge is either forgotten or kept jealously as secret J
What I want to say with all that is that healing magick even though indeed miraculous and wonder-working, takes time and effort. Therefore get a diagnose, proper medical care and then If needed magickal assistance.
I shall do my best to cover as much as possible here, however the topic is so large and seemingly inexhaustible, that I am not certain how successful will I actually be.
WHOM TO TURN TO ?
There are many ways of alternative healing, Reiki, Crystals etc. Here, in this article/post I will limit my elaboration on magickal ways of healing and Healing magick.
WHEN TO TURN TO SPIRITUAL WORK ?
When You need help, because the medical treatment is not working good enough or medical professionals do not offer solution.
IMPORTANT ( ! ) When medicine can not diagnose Your condition but the symptoms are evident Your sickness/condition is most likely magickaly induced, so swallow Your skepticism, stop wasting time and money and refer to proper Spiritual worker.
WHAT TO EXPECT ?
Healing via magick mostly works all the time. However sometimes the conditions may be a punishment, or a karmic lesson or simply something one is destined to undergo., and overcome alone, or with other form of help. In such cases, indications of this may appear in reading which should be preformed before healing work for clarification, directions and/or possible omens, and magick may help, but perhaps via other type of procedures.
TIME FOR HEALING MAGICK
Healing is best preformed during the waning Moon phase, and day and Hours of Sun are most suitable for such operations ( Sunday ). Some also say Moon's day ( Monday ) and Hours of the Moon are good for healing, soothing, and removing mental conditions.
Now here are some neat spells and procedures
EGG HEALING SPELLS
Each day during the waning Moon, starting form Full, rub egg all over patient's body, or the affected part and pray for disease to depart. In the morning, toss the egg in running water, crossroad or even toilet and flush it. This means new egg is used each day ! Some practitioners shall do this over a picture of aflicted as well.
HOODOO HEALING
One of the best ways to help someone is by a simple prayer. Orthodox Christian people have so many beautiful healing prayers and Saints devoted to healing. In Conjure it commonly petitioned are Dr. Jose Gregorio Hernandes, Saint Teresa, Saint Dymphna ( especially for mental conditions ). Our Mother of Perpetual help, than petitions to Manopoderosa and alike.
Dress a seven day candle ( Blue or white, blue-white combinations works very well ) with healing oil and pray each day for seven days for health of the affected. Underneath the candle place the picture of the person or petitioners paper where the name of the party is written in centre and surrounded by word health written in square and also diagonals of the square, crossing the name.Candle can be sprinkled with dust made of Allheal or Selfheal, or some commercial Healing powder. Angelica root could be used too.
Infusion of Allheal or Selfheal is often sprinkled, or sprayed in the afflicted person's room, or throughoout the house to make the person heal better and faster and protect other members from dissease
Voodoo Hoodoo healing doll baby spell ( by me )
"1.Make a poppet to represent the sick person
2. Stuff it with any or combination of the following : Sage, Eucalyptus leaves, Lemon Balm, Master of the Woods, Echinacea ( Sampson Snake root ), Rosemary, Mint, Thyme, Angelica, Altahea, Flax seeds, Godlenseal root threads
3.Consecrate and/or Baptize the poppet, add personal belongings, If You have some, or attach a photo, or name paper to the poppet. some people add "heart" or rose quartz or copal
4. Dress the affected part of the doll with healing oil.
5. Pin 3-7 white head needles or pins, previously dipped into Healing oil, into area of sickness on the poppet, the "affected part"
6. Read the Psalm passages for healing
"Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart." Psalm 26:2
"Have mercy upon me, O Lord, for I am weak: O Lord, heal me, for my bones are vexed." Psalm 6:2
"O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me." Psalm 30:2
"The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saves such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivers him out of them all." Psalm 34:18-19
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with thy free spirit. Psalm 51:10-12
7. Wrap the fabric in blue of white fabric and hold each days saying prayers or words above for healing, until the person is healed.
HEALING OIL
A condition oil recipe for healing, as I woudl compose it
Althaea roots or leafs or
Solomon's seal root /piece,in each of the bottles made
Master of the Woods root/piece, in each of the bottles made
Thyme in a good pinch
Sampson Snake Root
Sandalwood oil 7 drops
Camphor oil 7 drops
Cedar oil 3 drops
If the condition is of mental nature, You can substitute Thyme or Samson snake with mint and Sandalwood with Bay Leaf essential oil

BALKAN FOLK MAGICK HEALING SPELLS
Common healing spells in this raw magickal s systems involve incantations, offerings to spirits and petitioning them.
Typical healing spell calls for catching a waning Moon's reflection in a pan with water, and then adding healing herbs in it. The witch makes Cross signs over the pan with Balkan equivalent to athame called "kustura", and chants something along the lines :
" As the Moon shrinks and descends
So shall disease shrink and descend from N.N.'s body
And as the herb heal, and rejuvenate
So shall N.N. heal and rejuvenate..."
The water is then sipped by sick and used to wash face and sprinkle room where they stay.
Now if the disease is too strong it is transferred to stone, plant ( tree ), animal or in worst case human. This is a very cruel but stunning ly effective procedure, but causes another living being to be sacrificed, as the object of sacrifice literarily becomes new "host" for sickness. I don't feel confidents or called to elaborate on very procedure here.
BARON AND CREOLE, STOP DEATH SPELL
"Baron Cimetiere, another "incarnation
"of Baron Samedi, a member of Guede family"
This is similar concept as done in Voodoo and Creole, though less radical, when the Barron Samedi is appeased, offered and petitioned so that he does not dig a grave for certain person. If this Lwa is willing the person will live, if of course they n were treted the right way.
The Barron is offered with cigares, piece of dried bread, whiskey that had hot peppers inside, glasses with one lens poped out ( Baron can see in two worlds ) and alike.

Ketu is the cause of (1) Trouble through dispute with Brahmins and Kshatriyas.The troubles due to Gulik are (1) fear from seeing dead bodies (2) poison, (3) bodily pain, (4) sorrow due to the death of a near relation, (5) fear from evil spirits.10. If the Moon and the Sun occupied the 2nd and 12th houses associated with or aspected by Mars and Saturn, the native will suffer from eye diseases.Notes - If the planetary disposition described above is concerned with the 12th house, the left eye will be affected. Similarly if any amongst the Sun and the Moon is posited in the 2nd or the 12th house and is aspected by Saturn or Mars, such Sun or Moon is in the 2nd house, the right eye will get afflicted. The left eye will be adversely affected if their disposition be in the 12th house. When the 8th house is occupied or aspected by a planet, death should be declared to be caused by diseases relating to that planet. When there are no planets occupying or aspecting the 8th house, death is caused through diseases arising from the nature of the sign representing the 8th house.14-15. Now are detailed the diseases and troubles caused by the various signs which may ultimately become the media of death of the native.(1) Aries - fever due to excess of bile, diseases caused by heat like stroke etc., liver or gastric trouble.(2) Taurus - Diseases caused by the imbalance of the three humours bile, phlegm and wind, injury by weapon or fire.(3) Gemini - Catarrah, asthema, or sharp pain such as colic.(4) Cancer - Insanity, windy diseases, loss of appetite etc.(5) Leo - fatal injuries caused by wild animals, fever, boils, enemies.(6) Virgo - Troubles caused by women, veneial diseases, fall from a height.(7) Libra - Brain fever and typhod.(8) Scorpio - Diseases of the spleen, dyspepsia and jaundice.(9) Sagittarius - Injury caused by fall from a tree (or by tree falling of or varga(10) Capricorn- Stomach-ache, loss or appetite or aberation of mind etc.(11) Aquarius - cough, fever, consumption etc.(12) Pisces - Watery diseases such as Jalodara, drowning, etc.20. The refuge after death is indicated by (1) the planet or planets posited in the 12th house, (2) the planet occupying the Navamsa of the 12th house, or the palnet or planets with which the lord of the 12th be connected.If the Sun or the Moon be such planet the abode of the soul after death will be Kailash. If Mars be the planet concerned, the native takes birth on the Earth immediately after death. If Mercury be the planet In question, the next world for the native will be Vaikuntha. Jupiter takes the native's soul to Brahmaloka, Saturn to the abode of Yama, Rahu to other islands and Ketu to hell.24. It is from the lord of the 9th that all is ascertained about the native's past birth and all information about his future birth is signified by the lord of the 5th house. The particular caste, country and the direction of the person concerned in his past and future births should be deduced from the lords of the 9th and the 5th houses respectively.25. 12ly. Another Lapse in the Popish Religion is, They disown Jesus Christ suffered the hard work of Hell in his Creature. Christ Jesus suffered consistently the hard work of Hell, that so he impose free us really from the Torments of Hell. 13ly, And at the end of the day, discrete Lapse is this, The Pope (say they) hath a power to prove right men from their Oaths. Of what sad consequence, and how inconsolable this may be to Protestant States, I dispose of themselves to go-between. It is an unbearable ignominy and dishonour to Jesus Christ, to use that in his Veneration that he never instituted.3. Popery is upheld by Pretend and Lying: How abide they belied each one Calvin and Luther. In a word, the Romish Church is a Beside yourself Whore, colored with the Blood of Saints and Martyrs. 7. And at the end of the day, the Romish religion is a self-contradicting religion. One of their Canons saith, a man (in some luggage) may outlook the Tune-up at the hand of an Heretick: discrete Administrate saith, he may not.
