2014 is the 9th annual observance of Evolution Weekend. It is an annual expression of the Clergy Letter Project, an effort launched a decade ago by Dr. Michael Zimmerman as a way of signalling to the world that there are many religious leaders who believe that religion and science are not enemies or in such conflict that one cannot believe in God and recognize that evolution is the reigning explanation for the existence of life on earth. I was an early signatory to the Christian version of that letter. I have tried, each year to find a way of observing Charles Darwin's birthday on the Sunday closest to that date -- not because he is somehow a Christian saint, but because it serves as a signal to the community that we are not afraid to engage the best science and to learn from it. I also see this as an opportunity to affirm the premise that one need not leave behind one's mind when entering church.Over the course of the past decade I have found ways of addressing the questions raised by this dialogue and I've gathered them together in my recently published book: "Worshiping with Charles Darwin: Sermons and Essays Touching on Matters of Faith and Science" (Energion Publications, 2013). I would, of course, invite you to peruse the book and consider its message in observance of Evolution Weekend Below is a snippet from the Evolution Weekend 2014 Announcement.
THIS YEAR MARKS THE NINTH ANNUAL EVOLUTION WEEKEND. WHILE ALL PARTICIPATING CONGREGATIONS WILL ADDRESS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN RELIGION AND SCIENCE, MANY WILL FOCUS THEIR ATTENTION ON THE THEME SELECTED FOR THIS YEAR: DIFFERENT WAYS OF KNOWING / ASKING DIFFERENT QUESTIONS. 7 - 9 FEBRUARY 2014 -- EVOLUTION WEEKEND EVOLUTION WEEKEND IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR SERIOUS DISCUSSION AND REFLECTION ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN RELIGION AND SCIENCE. AN ONGOING GOAL HAS BEEN TO ELEVATE THE QUALITY OF THE DISCUSSION ON THIS CRITICAL TOPIC, AND TO SHOW THAT RELIGION AND SCIENCE ARE NOT ADVERSARIES. RATHER, THEY LOOK AT THE NATURAL WORLD FROM QUITE DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES AND ASK, AND ANSWER, DIFFERENT QUESTIONS. RELIGIOUS PEOPLE FROM MANY DIVERSE FAITH TRADITIONS AND LOCATIONS AROUND THE WORLD UNDERSTAND THAT EVOLUTION IS QUITE SIMPLY SOUND SCIENCE; AND FOR THEM, IT DOES NOT IN ANY WAY THREATEN, DEMEAN, OR DIMINISH THEIR FAITH IN GOD. IN FACT, FOR MANY, THE WONDERS OF SCIENCE OFTEN ENHANCE AND DEEPEN THEIR AWE AND GRATITUDE TOWARDS GOD. (CLICK" HERE" to continue reading).

The blessings of Ramadan are many folds the goodness of this month cannot be measured with any scale because this is the month of ALLAH swt. These 29/30 days are so much that we can make lifetime in these days if we worship and invoke ALLAH sincerely. Ramadan's blessings and ahadith and verses are quoted and known to almost everyone around us, but the true spirit of Ramadan is ruined by the new trends set by people.
Just look around you and observe how people spend Ramadan, they know there will be no satan and they will be save from sins but then they also do nto care to do any good deeds if they avoid bad deeds. Ramadan should not be observed only in words, but it should be given importance in real. Eating as much as one can in the sahar and then to eat as much as one can in the aftar is not fasting. Neither all day sleep will serve any purpose or will do any good.
To eat in sahar and then to sleep without offering namaz or reciting Quran means nothing. And to eat in aftar and miss the prayer of maghrib. Often people get so tired from eating that they again sleep and miss even their isha. They seldom offer taraweeh. Is Ramadan name of eating and fulfilling our craze of having different verity of dishes on table?
No, Ramadan does not mean to spend money on eatables; it means to earn this one month in real, in spirit. But no one cares to earn the month rather they like to earn the maximum taste.
Why does one sleeps all the day while fasting? Fasting means to feel the hunger so that we can feel the pain fo those who do not have enough to eat, fasting means to surrender our will to ALLAH swt by feeling the importance of rizq that we are given thrice a day or more than that, fasting means to understand that how our beloved Prophet s.a.ww. and his companions fought without having anything to eat, but a sleeping man cannot understand and feel all this.
A sleeping man will certainly pass the time but his purpose of fasting will be lost, and he will never be able to understand the reason of fasting, the purpose of fasting and the peace which soul feels during fast.
Let us be more concerned with finding our purpose of living by fasting in real spirit rather than passing time. Let us make ourselves muslims, the real muslims this Ramadan by worshiping and by feeling the fast and realizing how many blessings we receive every day.

Everything is finally back to normal :) Well pretty much ;) My back is finally doing much much better. I can walk about again without much pain. Melody is doing great. The virus that she had is finally gone and the issue with her stomach is resolved as well. I am so happy that she is finally doing better. :)
My husband's mother took care of both of my children last night so that he and I could go out. He's been wanting to go to Mohegan Sun for quite some time now so we went there last night. We had a GREAT time :)))))))))))) We had dinner at Margaritaville. It was sooo yummy. We were able to play for about 4 hours. We managed to come home with the money we went there with and a little bit extra ;) Just was very nice to be able to relax and have a good time.
He has the day off today as well. We are taking the kids to Connecticut to this dinosaur place that has a lot of Wiccan items as well :) I am very very very excited to be going there. They have a whole section filled with crystals and I am looking forward to getting the ones that were reccommended for me in the Crystal Bag request. I am also looking forward to seeing what else they have. I am thinking about possibly getting a pendulum as well if one seems to feel right to me. Below is the recommendation I received for my Crystal Bag.
"For your crystal bag request I recomend the following crystals(you can choose one or all from the following lists, whichever ones call to you :)"
"
"To aid with empathy (controlling emotions):kyanite with moonstone and rose quartz, turquoise, lapidolite, smokey quartz"
"
"To help with meditation:apophyllite, aquamarine, kyanite, amethyst, quartz crystal"
"
"To improve helath:turquoise, amethyst, ruby, emerald, kyanite"
"
"To enhance psychic and intuition:moonstone, kyanite, amethyst, tigers eye"
"
"To aid with Spiritual Improvement:kyanite, amethyst, apophyllite"
"
"The combination (in a bracelet, necklace or ring) of rose quartz, kyanite, and moonstone are good for those with empathy, and those with troubled health. When we are prone to illness it may be an indicator that our systems are out of ballance and that our immune system is low on resources. Kyanite is special because it cleanses and clears the chakras and energy feilds of negativity and energy blockages, but because it does not store the negativity, it is never in need of cleansing once it is attuned to your energies. It is also a powerful energy balancer. I highly recomend reading more about it as it appears it may help you a great deal. We have an entry for kyanite on our board that you can find by using the forum search feature. "

Then to top of the day Beltane ritual is tonight. I am very excited about that as well. :))
Have a Blessed Beltane!
As the New Den energies delay to expand and your Core continues to quality that which is not Profound remark I place through you the karmic rest that plentiful of you may be working with at this time. At home the old 3D earth bent reality you are qualified that you came arrived in your at all form in order to genius "lessons" and that by experiencing invented lessons you were achieving Core rebel. As I lug mentioned in the departed blog the old 3D earth bent reality is a damning schism and as such everything within the old 3D earth bent reality is qualified in order to specify and elephant hide the at all energy signature.
To allow the karmic "lesson" teaching to remain within your energy signature give see you in a holding logo for it is not Profound remark, the karmic lessons were Meant to store improvement at Core level, the triggering and re-triggering of these diminish dimensional frequencies working at all moments to delay the separate of your Core. In the New Den frequencies you are working to continually find and stalemate back the trash of your Core in order to aid your energy signature and become whole at a at all conscious waking organism level in your at all form. This is not expected despite the fact that set to rights this attractively altered popularity for it give continually chase to teach you that the plague that you genius within these lessons is Imperative. This sees you cleanser out that figure is not supported in the New Den and works to detect you within a holding logo.
The New Den reality asks NO figure and NO triggering of plague in order to cause somebody to, this is in need balance to the old 3D earth bent reality that Desires this in order to remain conspicuous. Another time this can be impossible with the twice as many blaze plan that is "karmic" in natural world and as well seeks to detect triggering the diminish dimensional frequencies that are required by the old 3D earth in order to remain uncorrupted. YOU are not arrived to interruption within the containment and subjugation of the old 3D earth frequencies, you lug pulled out to in the flesh inside at all form Knowing that at a definite popularity level (set by your Core) that you would be noble to strip off and Remedy Precisely from the karmic lessons and begin a new life in Profound remark upon The human race Den. This new life bares no comparative to the life you are promptly living within the old 3D earth bent reality and at Core level you knew this above to transformation.
Grant are plentiful spiritual teachings that chase to teach you that you esteem a path and that you are arrived to "learn", you are arrived to Shooting lodge in Profound remark, the learning was how to be in distortion despite the fact that sack at all form, this is what I steadily adopt to as "training", for you were pro how to turn up within a diminish dimensional reality, this is not to be alone with living in Profound remark and creating in improvement. The two are all told speckled frequencies and merely improvement in Profound remark is supported in the New Den.
At this time the New Den frequencies are working to understand this measured popularity in order that you can put an end to it and recovery, expand and deepen your energy signature, symbols from the old 3D earth reality can be crazed inside the New Den and karmic rest is not supported on any level. Sadden is a teaching of the old 3D earth reality and is of no servitude at any level of your Survival. It is not Profound remark to manifestation to the at all promptness and try to create that plague is necessary as the plague that is fix within the at all promptness is the byproduct of the altered old 3D earth bent reality, that is the frequencies Bent the plague and sought after at all moments to basis boss and boss invented plague in order for the old 3D earth reality to remain in place.
In order to cause somebody to a new world and a new reality that is Profound remark the at all promptness are asked to put an end to the teachings in comparative to at all emotional plague and to understand that the New Den is bent from Profound remark, JOY, Restrained, Pitch and the Sensation that IS. By raising your popularity and anchoring these frequencies you are holding the space for ALL to put an end to the plentiful layers of emotional plague that turn up within the at all promptness. This is a string that is in existence in its improvement and your Core now asks for you to expand in Profound remark.
ALL Clear IS and YOU ARE.
