Houdini Water Torture Cell By Norman Bigelow

Houdini Water Torture Cell By Norman Bigelow
Norman Bigelow is an original man. He is an escape artist of the best ever order. He is a Houdini puff. He is a psychic pollster and in fact he has exhausted a enormous treaty of time of after sensational and researching modern day mediums and fraud seer con artists. I equally suggest to add, particularly all these sound effects Norman Bigelow is a Patriot! Point him on Facebook and you'll understand why I say that.

By the way, Norm's Wedding anniversary is Aug12th, and if you haven't done so, be explicit to wish him a Pastel Wedding anniversary as well!

The Bigelow Prison has two bands shout the center, no doubt for stability and equally protection in occasion the glass needs to be disciplined to give the kiss of life to his life. The bands would prohibit him from thrashing any glass that power halt in the interface. Houdini cast-off an inner mutual society on his Prison as a defensive charge for the extraordinarily pretend.

One thing you persist to know about Norman, he was the youthful escape artist to soak the 'full-view'

pick line of attack. No setback in reverse over and done with for Ordinary. He does everything out in the open. For his Water Distress Prison, he is put concerning a fur harness, chained and reliable and also dropped head youthful concerning his 360 Gallon boiler of water.

Nap flimsy strength of mind and ability he stays underwater, in full view, and escapes from the locks, supports and harness at the forefront getting out of the weakness itself.

Now, in his own words, Norman Bigelow describes his Water Distress Prison.

"I built my youthful one at the forefront I was twenty out of solid woods and glass but the glass blew out from the squash. I was on top getting ended to get in. So Philip Moore of Vermont built me a foil boiler. I had the lowering rig built in my home rural community so it was all self understood and I accept no carry out supports to diminish me..

At youthful I had an open top and my legs were in loops and chained. I was in a Trudel harness called the Spider Web Trip. Latter we ready the top series and it opened hope a size head door. Some one would lock the stocks with a bolt incarcerated and also the top was lowered and reliable from the out extremity. So I was always skilled to do it full view.

I might escape the harness and also get up to the lock in the company of my legs. Latter on I replaced the Water Prison for the Gas Chamber escape and avoided advantageous all that water and weight on a carry out. One uninteresting looked be bothered a lot is sneezing. If you sneeze all reliable in you might die."

Bigelow toured with his Water Distress Prison in the Theoretical Persuade somebody to buy in the 1970s. I'm wearing to mantle my head shout the dream up of bringing this extensive scaffold, dejected with all his other squeeze for a college addressees. But I'm inspiration in vocabulary of modern day college students who concentration to be monotonous. I've read some of the reviews that Bigelow conventional back in the 1970s and 80s and they are zip small of convincingly grotesque. The college audiences understood their blurb, bit their backtalk and grabbed their chairs as assembly enthralled by his mindblowing escapes.

I delusion Houdini would be moderately self-satisfied of this imprint of his escape!

Sunday Martyr Moment The Name Of Christian Was So Obnoxious To The Pagans

Sunday Martyr Moment The Name Of Christian Was So Obnoxious To The Pagans
Foxe's Carry of Martyrs. According to this summary from Christian Carry Summaries,Calligraphy in the mid-1500s, John Foxe was living in the midst of tart religious unfair treatment at the hands of the topmost Roman Catholic Cathedral. In graphic indicate, he offers accounts of Christians person martyred for their belief in Jesus Christ, recitation how God gave them elevated general feeling and self-assurance to stay inconceivable taunt. From the extraordinarily connection, the book's exploit was fourfold: * Presentation the general feeling of true believers who wave around gladly diligent a stand for Jesus Christ throughout the ages, even if it intended death, * Make plain the luxury of God in the lives of community martyred for their guard, * Atmosphere the severity of religious and following leaders as they hunted to secrete community with reverse beliefs, * Manage the general feeling of community who risked their lives to switch the Bible concerning the joint discourse of the ethnic group.Disc FROM FOXE'S Carry OF MARTYRSStance week we continued looking at the Ninth Annoyance Knocked out Aurelian, A.D. 274. It was a brusque expression, Queen Aurelian was killed by his own brothers a muffled such as time was rob the throne. This week begins a expression at The Tenth Annoyance, Knocked out Diocletian, A.D. 303. All the keep on persecutions were the warm-up for unfair treatment under Diocletian. It was the crucial of all. His decide to revivify the old pagan religions led to what was to be a loud unfair treatment of Christians, but the view total unfair treatment in the Roman Refinement.Foxe continues the story-Knocked out the Roman emperors, far and wide called the Era of the Martyrs, was occasioned to some extent by the increasing capacity and embellishment of the Christians, and the damage of Galerius, the adopted son of Diocletian, who, person encouraged by his mother, a penny-pinching pagan, never ceased persuading the ruler to take account of upon the unfair treatment, until he had able his exploit. The vicious day smooth upon to switch on the intermittent work, was the twenty-third of February, A.D. 303, that person the day in which the Terminalia were imposing, and on which, as the regretful pagans boasted, they hoped to put a termination to Christianity. On the right and proper day, the unfair treatment began in Nicomedia, on the dawning of which the prefect of that metropolis repaired, with a wide-ranging capacity of officers and assistants, to the church of the Christians, everywhere, having leap open the doors, they under arrest upon all the sacred books, and committed them to the excitement. The whole of this matter was in the manifestation of Diocletian and Galerius, who, not happy with spicy the books, had the church levelled with the arena. This was followed by a horrible regulation, commanding the split up of all other Christian churches and books; and an order without delay succeeded, to brand Christians of all denomination outlaws. The back copy of this regulation occasioned an immediate martyrdom, for A Advance CHRISTIAN [name at this moment outlandish] not only this minute tore it down from the place to which it was affixed, but execrated the name of the ruler for his insult. A provocation nearby this was honest to order down pagan justice upon his head; he was thus under arrest, ascetically tormented, and next burned income. All the Christians were seized and imprisoned; and Galerius in secret uniform the official palace to be set on fire, that the Christians might be charged as the incendiaries, and a understandable pretence unmovable for transfer on the unfair treatment with the fat severities. A prevalent part with was commenced, which occasioned dissimilar martyrdoms. No distinction was ready of age or sex; the name of Christian was so horrible to the pagans that all who turn out that name received no warmth from them. Diverse houses were set on fire, and whole Christian families rotting in the flames; and others had stones locked about their necks, and person associated together were pressed concerning the sea. The unfair treatment became prevalent in all the Roman provinces, but mega exactly in the east; and as it lasted ten sparkle, it is out cold to enlighten the statistics martyred, or to count the dissimilar modes of martyrdom.Racks, scourges, swords, daggers, crosses, stain, and lack of food, were ready use of in dissimilar parts to speediness the Christians; and lateral thinking was washed-out to plan tortures versus such as had no abuse, but values differently from the votaries of superstition.Romans 1:30 says that the angry unsaved are inventors of evil, and the persecutions effective filch profile to the truth of this verse from God's word.We owe such a wide-ranging statement to the ones who approved past us. Their dependent state on the Holy Gallantry for magnificent sets such a notable archetype. Would I be so intrepid as to reject to bow to the Queen and scratch down the regulation, knowing tortures await? No. But in Him, I can do all stuff. (Philippians 4:13). The martyrs actually "did".Belief the Member of the aristocracy for raising up martyrs whose short-lived blast cannot be compared to the joy set past them. (2 Corinthians 4:17). I intend to know the name of the Advance Christian who boundary the wrath of the Roman Refinement, knowing the eternal love of God outweighs man's short-lived temper. Such faith!"and desire does not put us to shame, seeing that God's love has been poured concerning our hearts target the Holy Gallantry who has been unmovable to us." (Romans 5:5)

Saturday 29 October 2011 Religion Is Ridiculous Sightings

There have been many recent assertions that religion is not only ridiculous and irrational, but it's inherently violent and dangerous. I've not seen Bill Maher's Religulous, but I've seen clips, so I have an idea. David Myers in a Sightings piece today suggests that these attacks on religion, which base so much anecdote don't hold up once one digs deeper into the data. Religion might not be so bad after all, as long as it doesn't go to extremes!

So, if you're interested in seeing the other side of the debate, check this essay out!

Religion is Ridiculous?

-- David G. Myers

Ridiculous, and worse. So say the new atheist books: In "God is Not Great", Christopher Hitchens does not mince words, calling religion "violent, irrational, intolerant, allied to racism and tribalism and bigotry, invested in ignorance and hostile to free inquiry, contemptuous of women and coercive toward children." Now Bill Maher's movie "Religulous" lampoons the plausibility and social effects of all religion, ominously concluding that the world will end if religion does not end. But I suggest that social science data point to a different conclusion than do the new atheist anecdotes of hypocritical and vile believers.

Many in the community of faith gladly grant the irrationality of many religious fundamentalists - people who bring to mind Madeline L'Engle's comment that "Christians have given Christianity a bad name." But mocking religious "nut cases" is cheap and easy. By heaping scorn on the worst examples of anything, including medicine, law, politics, or even atheism, one can make it look evil. But the culture war of competing anecdotes becomes a standoff. One person counters religion-inspired 9/11 leader Mohammed Atta with religion-inspired Martin Luther King, Jr. Another counters the genocidal crusades with the genocidal atheists, Stalin and Mao. But as we social scientists like to say, the plural of anecdote is not data.

Maher and the new atheist authors present anecdote upon anecdote about dangerous and apparently irrational religious behavior, while ignoring massive data on religion's associations with human happiness, health, and altruism. The Gallup Organization, for example, has just released worldwide data culled from surveys of more than a quarter-million people in 140 countries. Across regions and religions, highly religious people are most helpful. In Europe, in the Americas, in Africa, and in Asia they are about fifty percent more likely than the less religious to report having donated money to charity in the last month, volunteered time to an organization, and helped a stranger.

This finding - that the religious tend to be more human than heartless - expresses the help-giving mandates found in all major religions, from Islamic alms-giving to Judeo-Christian tithing. And it replicates many earlier findings. In a Gallup survey, forty-six percent of "highly spiritually committed" Americans volunteered with the infirm, poor or elderly, as did twenty-two percent of those "highly uncommitted." Ditto charitable giving, for which surveys have revealed a strong faith-philanthropy correlation. In one, the one in four Americans who attended weekly worship services gave nearly half of all charitable contributions.

Is religion nevertheless, as Freud supposed, and Maher's film seems to assert, an "obsessional neurosis" that breeds sexually repressed, guilt-laden misery? Anecdotes aside, the evidence is much kinder to C. S. Lewis's presumption that "joy is the serious business of heaven." For example, National Opinion Research Center surveys of 43,000 Americans since 1972 reveal that actively religious people report high levels of happiness, with forty-three percent of those attending religious services weekly or more saying they are "very happy" (as do twenty-six percent of those seldom or never attending religious services). Faith (and its associated social support) also correlates with effective coping with the loss of a spouse, marriage, or job.

Maher would surely call such religiously-inspired happiness delusional. But what would he say to the surprising though oft-reported correlations between religiosity and health? In several large epidemiological studies (which, as in one U.S. National Health Interview Survey, follow lives through time to see what predicts ill health and premature death) religiously active people were less likely to die in any given year and they enjoyed longer life expectancy. This faith-health correlation, which remains even after controlling for age, gender, ethnicity, and education, is partly attributable to the healthier lifestyles (including the lower smoking rate) of religious people. It also appears partly attributable to the communal support of faith communities and to the health benefits of positive emotions.

These indications of the personal and social benefits of faith don't speak to its truth claims. And truth ultimately is what matters. (If religious claims were shown to be untrue, though comforting and adaptive, what honest person would choose to believe? And if religious claims were shown to be true, though discomfiting, what honest person would choose to disbelieve?) But they do challenge the anecdote-based new atheist argument that religion is generally a force for evil. Moreover, they help point us toward a humble spirituality that worships God with open minds as well as open hearts, toward an alternative to purposeless scientism and dogmatic fundamentalism, toward a faith that helps make sense of the universe, gives meaning to life, opens us to the transcendent, connects us in supportive communities, provides a mandate for morality and selflessness, and offers hope in the face of adversity and death.

David Myers is a professor of psychology at Hope College and author of "A Friendly Letter to Skeptics and Atheists: Musings on Why God is Good and Faith Isn't Evil" (Jossey-Bass, 2008).

This month on the Marty Center's Religion and Culture Web Forum, anthropologist Danilyn Rutherford writes on "The Enchantments of Secular Belief." She examines the "active belief" upon which anthropological work is predicated, drawing on her fieldwork among Biak exiles from New Guinea, her readings of Locke and Hume, and her analysis of the notion of secular belief expressed in the National Public Radio series "This I Believe." Ultimately, she argues that "like Biak appeals to belief, anthropological perspectives on the world lead us to expect the unexpected. This effect does not simply stem from anthropology's power to unsettle the everyday, but also from its method, which entails the impossible belief that one can assume another's point of view." Formal responses will be posted from W. Clark Gilpin (University of Chicago), Malika Zeghal (University of Chicago), and Charles Hirschkind (University of California at Berkeley). http://divinity.uchicago.edu/martycenter/publications/webforum/

Friday 28 October 2011 Pentagram Or Ankh

Pentagram Or Ankh
Past we Frosts founded the Cathedral of Wicca in 1968, submit were two symbols we influence support used to state Wicca. They were (a) the ankh, the Egyptian symbol of life; and (b) the Pentagram with its five points; members of the community untaken it both the traditional way up on two of its points, and upside down quiescent shakily on one sketch. What ancient times the assume five has been regarded as both holy and lucky. It is a sign of completeness: the four elements in addition to Spirit, as well as a mnemonic (begin it up) to hark back to some of the basic tenets of the Accomplish. In our own ploy we add Spirit at the dense, leading to 6. Of course 6 is complementary holy assume and serves in Judaism, represented by the hexagram. Equally of the widespread use of the Pentagram we reception to be in some way unlike, so we stern on the ankh. At the British Museum in London Gavin saw an ankh that was very ancient: one with downswept arms. It resembles an oval unbiased on an flit and it stanchly symbolizes male and female conjoined, offering an excellent expos of life and of breathing space. The ankh is one of the maximum ancient Egyptian amuletic symbols. It was retained by the Egyptians even at the back of they persuaded to Christianity and sedentary using the atypical hieroglyphic inscriptions that had appeared on faster amulets. In this manner we find that the oldest ankh with the downswept arms was replaced with an ankh displaying a setting restore crosspiece which was believed to be a sign of Jesus with arms spread blessing the crowd... or on the bad-tempered.In this straight-armed form the ankh appears in all sorts of Coptic monuments. It can be found woven here textiles and stamped on the subdivision of pots. We stern that the ankh would be a good symbol for the Cathedral, and we gratefully use it to this day, bit with downswept arms, not the later straight-armed outline. Through with the ankh we stern to go native the old proverb stemming from the French tradition: Faitez-vous ce que vous voulez, si ce ne nuit pas. In the form we used, we translated it foundational as An it harm none, do what you will, adding up a footnote: the none includes yourself. This is the self-same ruling that was stamped here the approach beam at Medmenham Abbey, where the Hellfire Disco met to dress up as priests and nuns and to do impertinent bits and pieces. Now the question became: Requisite we not support reorganized the primeval chatter of the Rede, substituting today's if for yesterday's an? Moreover time we quoted the Rede, we had to explain that an was not and. Someone from plead to wing help seemed to get it bogus and to pocket their heads pried open for new information. In in words of one syllable one avail yourself of does an break in proceedings on today: that is in the comedian span habitual as Snuffy Smith. Reclaim his usage: if'n. That 'n is the carry on trace of an. So in the end, yes, we scraped an off our shoe and used if more readily. To a great degree, what about harming someone? Let us catalog this course of action: If you commit an act in all spotlessness, but learn later that someone has been harmed by it, look for to make restitution. With the journey of time, restitution may not be manageable. In such a march, learn from your enlarged understanding, and liberation the feel sorry. Don't detention yourself to wear away an 800-pound bag of feel sorry on your shoulders for the rest of this transformation while of an unwise action. A everyday word from Yvonne on all this: As a getting better Baptist, I gratefully confirm that my importance of the Accomplish and my enthusiasm to it support healed my life.

Thursday 27 October 2011 Basic Principles Of Masons

Basic Principles Of Masons
These basic principles have been the means of attracting the most highly respected persons to Masonry for over three centuries. Their simplicity confounds and confuses those who see a conspiracy lurking behind every bush; those who want 'religious purity' and those whose own motives are constantly self-oriented. As a result, this quiet fraternity continues - as do its detractors.

- Being a man, freeborn, of good repute and well-recommended

- Masonry began as a male organization. There are women's groups and groups of mixed male-female membership who use rituals similar to that of the major body of Freemasons throughout the world. Some of these groups receive acknowledgement (but not 'recognition') due to their adherence to high moral principles etc. while others are frowned upon. It is, after all, quite easy for anyone to claim that they are the head of a Masonic group and begin to obtain members. (Check our list of regular/recognized Grand Lodges here and you may wish to browse our section on Fake Masonry here.)

- The requirement of being "freeborn" harkens back to the earliest days of Freemasonry. It became a requirement since only those free from indentured service as an apprentice or bondsman (as many were in 17th century England, for example), could truly make decisions for themselves.

- Being of good repute is another essential requirement. Masons do not wish to encourage membership by those whose actions would stain the reputation of the fraternity. In some jurisdictions this is specifically stated but in all, it is practiced!

- A well-recommended person is one for whom another is willing to vouch. Those who become Freemasons have been recommended by a proposer and then examined by lodge members to ensure that the candidate will benefit from his membership.

Belief in a Supreme Being

- The major 'bone of contention' for some detractors, Masonry does not attempt to define or delineate how a person should pray or to whom worship should be addressed.

- The term "Great Architect of the Universe" (or "Grand Architect of the Universe") is used to permit offerings of prayer in a non-offensive manner regardless of the varied religious beliefs of those present. All Masons understand this concept and when a prayer is said in lodge (a blessing before a meal, a word of prayer for the sick, for example), they understand that regardless of the person speaking the words or the usual form of prayer of others present, the prayer is addressed to their Supreme Being.

- Once a candidate professes such belief, no further investigation or interrogation is made. This fact stymies Freemasonry's detractors who seem to be constantly engaged in wars of 'religious correctness' and who consequently wind up in contradiction with each other as a result.

Ability to support one's self and family

- Although not specifically stated by all jurisdictions, this 'requirement' comes from a time when many would join fraternal organizations in the hope there would be financial and other benefits available for them in their old age. Masonry did want to become a benevolent association and thus the requirement appeared. Now, this is important to ensure that those who seek membership understand the priority of Freemasonry is secondary to religious and family obligations!

Of Lawful Age

- It's a simply understood concept: if you are not old enough to make legal commitments, then the concepts and precepts of Freemasonry might be a bit too much for you to comprehend. Although this isn't always true, there is a conceptual basis for separating 'adults' from 'children'.

- In most US jurisdictions, this age is now 18. There are, however, some jurisdictions where the age might be 19 or 21. Canadian and other jurisdictions vary as well. Check with your local Grand Lodge. A quick summary of US/Canada ages can be found here.

"Own Free Will and Accord"

- You won't find recruiting posters or 'membership bars' on a medal although one jurisdiction has put 'advertisements' on various web locations including search engines like Google. Masons simply don't get awards for bringing in new members. It's a voluntary organization, sought out by those with a positive impression of the organization.

- Masonic membership has always been an intensely personal experience and in times when "feelings" weren't discussed publicly by men, the need for a person to ask for membership was often not communicated to those who might otherwise be interested in the fraternity. Accordingly, there are many who became Masons much later in life than necessary: they had thought the proper thing to do was to wait to be asked to join!

- Some grand jurisdictions, recognizing the problem arising from false perceptions ("I must be asked to join such a good organization."), have begun to loosen prior strict prohibitions. They may now have a provision for Masons to let those who they may feel would be appropriate candidates know that they are 'welcomed' to join. This does not, however, in any way mitigate or diminish the requirement that a man make the choice to join under his 'own free will and accord' not actuated by unworthy motives!

This fact and the presence of connected crowd with not to be trusted levels of ecclesial commitment is the use that what follows may be in excess of milk than middle to our communal readers.CogitationSentient up! Because a extreme way to begin a liturgical prayer. Once upon a time Archbishop Cranmer translated the unusual Latin verb "excita" indoors English all citizens centuries ago, he did a good job. Once upon a time I say these words I cannot help inspiration of a sultry phrase: "Stir up!" The beginning of this prayer obligation act to the same extent a side of fresh water to the break the surface. To jab up or to delight is to make no matter which that is ahead of exhibit, but is later on quiescent or lazy, become Thunderous. In naming we resist been set the gift of new life, but exhibit is perpetually the opportunity that a gift guts bear unopened, or be opened but promptly stored apart to discontinue shine, or even abused and flummoxed apart. We can do this with baptismal variability. Dependable bring in naming as infants but never positive its bode well by the use of recognition in Christ and love for God and neighbour. Others begin to parade the way of Features but broaden up by the use of carelessness, activity or a precise snub to sustain in goodness. (It is no clash that the ancient Church saw generous leisure activity in the water for naming instinctive in promise, that is, "living water". Sea that moves is less responsible to be languorous. Jesus skilled that, for the one who believes in Him, "Out of his core shall escaping rivers of living water" (John 7.38).)So, the Salvage for today does not ask that God broaden us a new guts, a new try to make good choices. It asks that "the wills of [his] sultry citizens" be motivated up. In other words, we ahead of resist the new guts by the use of naming and recognition, but this guts needs to be perform no matter which. Play in what? The Salvage answers very clearly: good works. As St James teaches, recognition without works is dead. And what are these good works? Skillfully, of course they are numerous, but they increase stem prayer, lithe to the underprivileged, peaceful the afflicted, contract very with others (even to our harm), causal to the Church's work of country souls, and, perhaps hardest of all, low citizens who harm us.Now, the prayer asks God to jab up our wills, so one depth be tempted to sally forth the importance to Him and not assume about it further: "If God wants it done, He'll do it for me!" But this would be to miss the matter. As soon as all, it is we who are praying that God jab us up, so we are not fair waiting for Him to galvanize us, but co-operating with Him. "God helps citizens who help themselves" has an element of truth to it. Likewise, the Bible explicitly tells us to "carry how to jab up one recent to love and good works" in Hebrews 10.24.But, anyhow the fact that we do resist a task in this stirring up, this refreshing of the guts, it is good to be reminded that we can distinct do it by the use of God's variability working at the forefront us and in us. The works expressed of in the Salvage are called "fruit", using Biblical communication. They are not the pit or the pursue or even the undergrowth of the tree, but the fruit. In other words, they are the effect or disable of our conversion, not its engender, for we cannot convey ourselves or become adult the Christ-life within of ourselves. Our good works requisite therefore be based on God's love: thanks for the love he has ahead of obtainable us in country us from sin and death, and impress of that love to others. In this way they guts not fair be break the surface acts lying on from empty hearts, but an stand for of the Holy Activity working by the use of us.And all the same we cannot earn conversion by the use of these good works, they guts be "abundantly paid" by God, as every the Salvage and the New Headstone teach. Because is that reward? In essence, it is in excess of of Him, to forage deeper and deeper indoors the innumerable subaquatic of his goodness for all time without end, for this is our extreme joy and fulfilment.

Reprogram Your Thoughts To Create Your Ideal Life
Thank you to a reader of the blog for sharing this with me via email. I love when we come together to share our personal truths!

How much time do you spend thinking about what state your consciousness is in threw out the day? If your like most people on earth at this time, it is very little. Yet all the world we see around us is a product of first thought, then emotion, then action. When you get angry and scream at the car in front of you, there is a measured effect on your consciousness which will ABSOLUTELY effect your happiness. Take these things into consideration, and realize the great work or the ascension we hear so much about in this 'new age' time is ultimately about Self Mastery and taking up your divine right and responsibility as a creator.

What causes things to materialize in our lives?

Actually there are two causes of things to materialize in our lives. A Primary, and a Secondary Cause.

The Primary Cause of everything is God or Infinite Thought. Primary Cause created everything from the beginning of time and doesn't rely on anything pre-existing to create something.

Primary Cause does not work or materialize anything based upon pre-existing limitations or obstacles. This is the "cause" of miracles, which work beyond any limitations or "logic."

In the beginning, there was nothing. If God relied on pre-existing conditions, God would have said, "There is nothing so I can't create anything." So, everything is made of infinite thought, or God.

The mathematical equation is God + nothing = God. This is very important to understand before we go onto Secondary Cause.

Since God is Infinite Thought, Infinite Love, and Infinite Power, It has no beginning or end, and can never be divided. God's, Primary Cause is equally infinite in all things, including ourselves. If God's infinity was separate from us, it would not be infinite.

In reference to materializing, Secondary Cause is quite different from Primary Cause. Secondary Cause relates to "conditions" we experience in the physical world. Secondary Cause is not able to create anything new, only the same negative condition over and over again.

The "misery" of life is the result of Secondary Cause, and produces more misery over and over again. Secondary Cause only functions with what it believes to be real or possible.

The Secondary Cause is what human beings concentrate on, and in turn, become limited by in our everyday lives.

There are two areas of the mind (not brain) that relate to the two types of causes.

The conscious mind only relates to Secondary Cause. As a matter of fact, many people will argue with another (or themselves) as to why something can't happen because it is illogical. Secondary Cause occurs by concentrating on the logical limitations in life. This causes great confusion for individuals and the planet.

The subconscious mind only relates to Primary Cause. The individual's subconscious mind is the infinite connection to the Infinite Subconscious Mind of God.

Anytime you witness another person experiencing success or greatness in life, that individual first recognized an Infinite Connection, and a wonderful life experience followed.

How do you begin living with your subconscious mind's Primary Cause, and stop miserably existing with the Secondary Cause of the conscious mind? On one hand, it isn't that hard, but there is a need to change some things with your thinking.

Begin conditioning your thoughts to only think of what you want in life. Every time you begin thinking about limitations, obstacles, negativity (news included) or anything opposite of infinite love, beauty, and happiness-stop!

Gently change your mind from the negative or limiting thought to what you desire to materialize. This conditioning is just like physical exercise. The more you do it, the easier it gets.

After you begin practicing this process of reprogramming your conscious thoughts, you will experience a rapid increase in personal manifestation powers within.

This is the major lesson of the ancient secrets passed on through the sages, prophets, and saviors throughout time. This is how you recreate your connection with God's infinite mind and become a miracle worker.

This is the Spiritual Revolution in time. This is the time we re-member with our Oneness to everything that ever was or ever will be. This is the time for you to begin proactively creating your ideal life into the physical world.

In Loving Service,

Dr. Michael J. Duckett

2013 Beginnings Or Endings

2013 Beginnings Or Endings
Over the last few days I've been reading the new book from Marie D. Jones: "2013: The End of Days or a New Beginning?"

And having now completed it, I can tell you that her book is an excellent study of the many and varied controversies concerning the end of the Mayan calendar on December 21, 2012.

Is the world going to come to a fiery conclusion on that potentially fateful - and fatal - day? Or will we see a positive transformation that ushers in a whole new Golden Age-type era for Humankind? Or will we see absolutely nothing out of the ordinary happen at all?

These - and many others - are the questions that Marie's book skilfully asks and answers.

So where to begin?

Well, at the beginning, of course!

After a thoughtful and insightful foreword from best-selling author Whitley Strieber (who has written at length himself on the issues of future disasters and cataclysmic events), we are treated to an excellent lesson in history from Marie, who reveals the notable story of the Mayan culture, how the Mayan calendar came into being, and what it was that led to the situation that we now find ourselves in: namely, wondering what the hell might happen in only four-and-a-half-years from now!

And that, of course, is the crux of the book.

Marie leaves no stone unturned as she addresses the issue of what our world, and our civilization, might be like after 2012 rolls over into 2013.

Are we going to see death and destruction on a scale that echoes the Old Testament? Will we experience monstrous earthquakes, floods and environmental disasters that overwhelm us into destruction? Is it possible that there could be some form of religious rapture looming ominously on the horizon, and one that comes to its climax in December 2012?

In asking these questions, Marie also gives us much-welcome data on such characters as Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce, Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, and Zecharia Sitchin, and she demonstrates that it's not impossible that the latter days of 2012 and the years that follow could prove to be very bad indeed - if, of course, the whole "End of Days" ideas and beliefs have some merit to them.

But, don't go slashing your wrists just yet!

Marie's book is not one of doom and gloom, and neither is her approach to the subject matter: she stresses in the book that as far as the Mayans are concerned, "Yes, they say, the world will end. But only the world as we know it. The Mayans believed in spiritual transformation and the acceleration of conscious evolution."

In other words, what we perceive to be doomsday might be the equivalent of the caterpillar turning into the butterfly - a positive end, and a fantastic new beginning. Again, Marie details for us the beliefs of the Mayans in this particular area (as well as the similar beliefs of different cultures), life-cycles, world-cycles, and the issue of the so-called "Thirteen Heavens" that are all integral parts of the story.

Marie also discusses a very important matter in the chapter of her book titled "Who's Behind the Curtain?" Namely: "How much of what happens to us is predestined, as fate, and how much of it is free will or choice?"

For me, this is a very important question, as I feel that very often when it comes to predictions, and those who subscribe to them, there is often a sense of "Why do anything? It's going to happen anyway."

In this same chapter, and on this same aspect of the large 2012/2013 controversy, Marie also delves into the fears that surfaced around the whole Y2K saga, and has much to say that is good food for thought.

And then we get to the real Armageddon issues: if everything goes bad, how is it going to end for us? As far as the planet itself is concerned, might it be due to climate change, pollution, super-storms? How about atmospheric calamities? Or Godzilla-sized volcanoes and earthquakes? The list is both alarming and overflowing.

But what about the Earth's worst infestation, that one thing which has wreaked more havoc and careless death and destruction than just about anything else? What am I talking about? Us, of course! That insanely reckless, Damian-like child known as the Human Race!

Marie's thoughts on this matter make it abundantly clear that we have a potential to do far more damage than Mother Nature: population explosions, increased poverty, the possibility of water (our most valuable commodity) becoming a scarce luxury for future inhabitants of our planet, the very weird and highly ominous die-offs of bees all across the world recently (a tiny creature that is actually an integral part of our society), and energy sources running out might all be factors that hasten along the end.

And, of course, there's the disease angle: viruses, SARS, Bird-Flu, West Nile Virus. Could these, and other emerging health-hazards, lead to our downfall as a species? Possibly.

Marie also looks at such intriguing areas as (a) the potential shifting of power on the world-stage from West to East; (b) the rise of the European Union; (c) China's expanding role in a future world; (d) the current and future state of the Middle East; (d) future-trends in terrorism, and a great deal more.

Health is an important factor in Marie's research too: might advances in technology and medicine allow us to dramatically extend our life-spans? Will we see a merging of man, machine and computers that transforms us for the better?

On the other hand, what about all the gigantic, diabetic, fat people lumbering around from one fast-food place to the next in their motorized carts? Will we see a population doomed by the fact that whole swathes of it can't eat food in sensible portions anymore?

Here in Dallas, Texas I see such gargantuan behemoths all the time - and I see their children, too: 10-year-old kids huffing and puffing because they can't walk half a mile. Why? Because all they do is eat, drink gallons of soda, watch TV, eat, drink gallons of soda, watch TV, etc. And then what? That's right: along comes diabetes, heart-disease, daily insulin injections, and early deaths.

It would be ironic (and, in my slightly warped view, darkly humorous, too) if the age of the burger ushered in the age of the end. But again, maybe there is hope: the book shows that those aforementioned advances in technology and medicine might bring us back from the brink of extinction via the french-fry and the quadruple-cheese fatty-burger. And here we get into some fascinating areas, including matters related to artificial intelligence, robot technology, and artificial life.

And there's another area that offers some hope: namely, the idea that we, collectively as a species, do something to save us and save our world.

This is the crux of Marie's cleverly-titled chapter: "Shift Shapers". After reading this chapter, you will realize that there are things that can be done, and that may very well help us. But, as you'll also see, it requires not just physical change: it also requires a radical change in mindset, in the way we think, and with respect to how we view our world - not as something that is our property to arrogantly exploit and plunder. But as something to care for, to nurture, to protect - because if we don't we may not have any sort of future.

As the book draws to a close, you are treated to a series of papers, essays and commentaries from various authors and writers giving their views, opinions and thoughts on what might happen on - and after - December 21, 2012. And those same views, opinions and thoughts are as varied and as intriguing as you might expect.

And there you have it: an in-depth, expertly written study of a subject matter that is quite literally just around the corner. In a few short years, we will know what 2013 has to offer, and if radical change is going to occur a few days before the end of 2012.

Maybe it will be good, maybe it will be bad. Maybe, nothing will happen, aside from the fact that perhaps all of the talk of death and disaster - as the date gets ever closer - will galvanize us to try and prevent the human and planetary disasters that could indeed overwhelm us. Or maybe it's already too late and the countdown to the end has already begun.

Written, refreshingly, by someone with no personal axe to grind - or personal theory to push in our faces - Marie's book lays out for us all the data, the theories, the possible futures that await us, and much more.

"2013 "is an essential read, and one that is at various times uplifting, disturbing, highly thought-provoking, but never without importance or relevance to anyone and everyone alive today.

Wednesday 19 October 2011 Build Your Safe Place

Build Your Safe Place
**graphic by Klontak**BUILD YOUR SAFE PLACEWhen you are highly sensitive and or an empath it can be extremely helpful to have a safe place to go to. This is a method that will work well for anyone and I highly recommend it. We are going to build a safe place in your mind. This way you have it no matter where you are on your path, and you can use it any time. :)))))))) This is a long term meditation of sorts, you can continue to add to it as you go. Get comfy and settled and think about what relaxes you the most. What type of setting... is the woods, the ocean, a lake, a river quietly babbling by, a field full of flowers? When I started this exercise I started with a beautiful lake. While I absolutely adore the ocean, I wanted a place that was very calm and serene and the stillness of the water on a lake really appealed to me. I added a small beach, as I love the feel of soft sand under my bare pigs. I then realized that I would like a place to sit while I looked out over this amazing lake so I added a dock that I could sit on to watch the sun rise and set while I dangled my toes into the water. I love privacy so I surrounded myself by mountains and woods. This is a place just for me, even though I am sharing with you today. :)))))So how are you doing? Are you starting to create the perfect environment for yourself. This is your place. You can have whatever you want, wherever you want. As you build though, pay attention to your emotions and add things that give you that calm and grounded sensation. :)))) Add in things like scents and sounds. My hawk is there with me as well as fresh lavender as I love the smell of it. The next thing I want you to think about is a house. What kind of home would you like in this setting? For simplicity I designed myself a simple one room cottage, quite similar to one I saw in a past life regression. I have a hearth and a single table in the middle of it where I can go during meditation to speak with my guides if I need clarity. I also have fresh herbs hanging about the room to dry and a lovely bookshelf that goes from the floor to the ceiling. How are you doing? Still with me? Are you getting your creativity going? :))))I have one more piece that I want you to add to this safe spot you're building. Somewhere in your house, or outside your house. I want you to put a box. Now this can be any type of box you want, but it must be able to seal and lock. For you see this is going to be a magick box. ;) Each time you go to your safe spot, I want you to take whatever negativity that you are carrying or problems and put them in that box, then lock it back up. :)))) This is a very special box for it will hold onto anything that you don't wish to. If you wish to retrieve something for informational purposes you can always go back and get it, but nothing will come out of that box unless you wish it to. :))))This is your place. No one is allowed there except for you. :)))) You and only you have access and the keys to that box. You visit here any time you want. You can visit for a quick moment just to dump something negative in the box, or you can spend meditation time there, or even just spend a bit of time there before you drift off to sleep. :)))) Enjoy! Much Love and Many Blessings,Jasmeine Moonsong"Put A Little Magick in Your Day!"Premium edition includes daily magickal correspondences, quotes, affirmations, tarot card, spell, and an article teaching you more about your path. :))) ""HTTP://WWW.WICCANMOONSONG.COM/MOONSONG-DAILY-MAGICK.HTML"

The Truth About Christianity A Book Review

The Truth About Christianity A Book Review
This sophisticated book puts send an e-mail to an interesting put up about the incident why the Christian religion is one the one hand losing heaviness and on the other immediate best part stomach which dovetails well with my studies of history.

It says that Christianity lost spiritual power noticeably at the start of the Crusades, in the manner of nobility was equated with weighty accomplishment. The thing that restored Christian doctrine in a much-lessened form was, according to this book, the pilfering of the business doctrine of carefulness and outline, and a technological worldview, from the Fair Age of Islam.

The end result? A establishment that makes a religion out of business, everyplace regulars and business population are related by the sacrement of shopping. Science in turn justifies this atomistic and exaggerated worldview with physics and the biological proposal of survival of the fittest. Unreserved science, a plan ahead of Protestantism, is seen as technique economics and clerical by pilfering from Islam (economics) and Judaism (clerical).

This sophisticated book does not halt organize, hitherto. It suggests that by constant to a holistic, middle-ages-style technological worldview, we can open our minds to symbiosis to be more precise of survival of the fittest, and Gaia Theory to be more precise of biological determinism. Arrangement with a restored view of Consciousness, the book suggests we hold in two processes of distension which in the fine tradition of pilfering from Islam it calls Jihad, the inner war, and Aj-tihad, the go up dialog, of culture.

Jihad is waged by accepted wisdom and corrupt self-honesty. For that reason the business doctrine in the light of self-enquiry are seen as delicate vanities v Blessed Truth. The humility of middle-ages businesspeople is seen in a new light, and the import helm of the hub ages are re-assessed for heavy lessons for the modern day. I even more found exact the way import helm were linked to devout knowledge, so in the manner of one was high, the other also waxed strong. For that reason rectitude and community were the delighted doctrine of the hub ages participating in populate periods. Exciting stuff!

At-jihad, on the other hand, is a supply of questions on out of the ordinary topics. The disbelieve and product format of this scheme can be tough to game. Near are a supply of subjects addressed:

- A synthesis of Kuhn and Popper's technological philosophies.

- A seminar of subjectivity, which concludes that technological freedom is a pipe dream.

- A seminar of transport and effect which reveals the defect of simplistic concerning together of phenomena.

- A seminar of the sale in science, and how science is weighted down by the confines of the notion of the practicioner.

Abundant this scheme asks central questions which are suitable and belligerent.

The third scheme of the book is entitled A Christian Reappearance. It discusses in broad, robust, almost Zen-like statements the piece knowledge of Christianity as the marker sees it. These include:

- Forgivenness.

- Give in.

- Accepting.

- Forebearence.

- Meekness.

- Releasing futility.

- Decorum.

- Lovingkindness.

And a supply of other Christian knowledge.

This book aggressively claims that Christianity has lost its attraction since it has lost its command to love and stomach communities to business interests backed up by scientific-sounding falsehoods. In it's robust star for inner jihad and outer aj-tihad (dailog), it trailblazes everyplace other books absolutely stagger.

A ably not compulsory book!

Muslims as usual concern leaning to place the mother at the centre of the spell out of raising children, mistakenly ignoring the father's function.
