Recounted in Soul Survivor: The Reincarnation of a World War II Fighter Pilot is the story of two-year-old James Leininger who began having repetitive and horrific nightmares about a man who was stuck in a plane that was on fire, crashing toward the water. He began drawing pictures of the scene - an event that shaped many of his waking thoughts. He told his parents that the man had been shot down. When they asked by whom, the child appeared stunned by their ignorance and replied, "The Japanese."
The child stated that he had been the man in the plane and provided extensive details about the man, his name, James Huston, the ship he was from and the individuals who had served with him. For me, the story of James Leininger is a refreshing reminder that we are eternal spiritual beings having ongoing physical experiences in a process of personal growth and enlightenment. There is no doubt in my mind that stories like this will become more commonplace and more accepted, for we are on the verge of a global shift in perception and consciousness - a shift that will lead us to truly understand our connection to one another and our relationship with the Divine. After all, when the workings of reincarnation become the world view then all the things that divide us - whether religion, or power, or ideology or differences of any kind - will simply fade away.

The Children of Light Conference in Denver at the end of June has a new addition, in addition to The Wholeness Blessing there will also be people initiated into The Oneness Blessing that originates in India from the Oneness University.
This is a rare confluence of Eastern and Western spiritual gifts to humanity. The people from the Oneness University felt The Wholeness Blessing was significant and they have decided to join efforts.
For those of you uncomfortable with Indian belief systems, culture and practices of veneration, this is not about that at all. There is no belief, practice, or expectation beyond passing on The Oneness Blessing at the same conference as The Wholeness Blessing.

Over the past several months, I've had the pleasure of attending and helping host Oneness Meditations. SERVICE & THE SPIRITUAL PATH

I looked at the "new non-fiction books" at my #1 library the other day and decided I would have to tease the librarians that they needed to buy some more new books because I couldn't find anything more there to read. Just when I was about to give up, I found Joseph Dispenza's "God On Your Own: Finding A Spiritual Path Outside Religion" (San Francisco: Jossey-Bass, 2006). I found Dispenza's story and perspectives interesting, and food for thought. He entered a "silent monastery" right out of high school and stayed there eight years, having all his needs provided, including higher education. When he moved on, it was to teach at the university level. He is currently one of the leaders of Lifepath Retreats, most or all of which are at San Miguel De Allende, Mexico (www.lifepathretreats.com and www.joseph dispenza.com).
I want to share some inspiring, yet challenging words from Chapter 11: "Service. Reading the word, you may wonder how something called service would unfold in your life, busy as it is, devoted as it is to your own pressing pursuits.... It [spiritual service] may require only a shift in how you view your life and its place in the world.... It's through service to others that you find why you are here on this particular planet in this particular body at this particular time. A spiritual path that does not connect to the idea of service is not a spiritual path at all.... It [spiritual service] is more like an attitude: You continue doing what you are doing and lift it to the spiritual level by making the intention to do all that you do in the service of others.... "What can I contribute to the world?"... Wherever your spiritual path is taking you, it must end in fullfillment of your highest potential through service to others."
