Blasphemy to Blessed Be?
I want to state again that I am not against the Word of God. I have learned a great deal from it. One day I will get married and have children of my own. It is what the Churches teach that I am concerned about. It is what I want my children to learn that brings me to this blog.
I am very strong in that children should learn about the human body and sex itself. We are naked under our clothes, and we are sexual beings. Even though that Word of God, the Bible does state the responsibilities of sexual behaviors, I am not at all want the Church to influence my future children. Since I am no scholar, I cannot simply read the Bible and be able to correctly teach my own children. Since the Word of God was written many, many years ago, just reading it in the English will not do at all. Maybe that is why so many Christians can so readily misinterpret the Word of God. Whatever the reason, I do not want my children to be taught my these people.
Even though I will have to learn from another faith so I can make sure my children will get the right and true understanding of faith in something that is higher then they are, I will not turn fully away from what I have been taught these 30 years. I know I could get them to listen to the same pastor-teacher as I have, but the problem is that there is more to live then in a classroom. I will not put my, future, children in a locked room and away from life. That will do more harm then leaving them with a bunch of self-righteous Christians.
This might sound like I will have to drop my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ so my future children can get the proper life experience. Right now I do not know what my next step will bring me. All I know is that I cannot continue with the Christian hypocrisy. Their way of life goes against all that I believe in. It is very heart wrenching to turn away from something I have devoted 30 years of my life to. Just the same if I am to do this for my future children, then I must first do it for myself.
It feels like all that I believe in a big lie. If how Christians are acting is anything close to what the Word of God states, then how can love be the most important thing? If any part of a statement is false, then the whole entire statement is false. Could it be that there are inconsistencies in the Word of God due to the behavior of today's Christians? Or is it the other way around, Christians are the way they are due to the inconsistencies? How would anyone feel when all of the sudden they find out that all of what they believed was not true?
It has always puzzled me that the Mosaic Law can say, "Do not have sexual relationship with family," and at the same time family members have married in the Word of God. Abraham and Sarah were brother and sister. There are other family members that have married as well. Can this be a inconsistency? There are other red flags that concerns me.

The only thing these contracts will do is cause teenagers to explode as their sex drive constantly grows.
Since you cannot keep teenagers in using their sex drive, then they need to be taught properly and completely about the human body, and even what is the difference in having sex with someone vs. making love. In the right knowledge, teenagers can be able to control and be responsible with their own sex drive. How parents raise their children in knowing about the human body and sex is up to them. The point is that parents are the only ones that can do it.
If the Word of God is to keep this important knowledge away from children as most Christians appear to believe, then the Christianity is something to avoid completely. Animals on Earth have sex with one another. Sex is normal and very natural. Having teenagers suppress their sex drive can be very dangerous to their future marriage and even their own health. The participants included 22 members of TCT and ATTA, as well as Thai travel writers, who were taking part in an educational trip organised by TAT from February 17 to 22 that included important Buddhist sites in northern Thailand and Myanmar. The trip was part of a plan agreed by ASEAN member countries at a meeting in Manila last July to develop Buddhist pilgrimage tourism for ASEAN and India. Mr Surapon Svetasreni, the deputy governor for policy and planning at TAT, said last month's educational trip - which included stops in Chiang Rai, Kengtung, Yangon and Bagan - had three important objectives. "The first aim was to undertake a feasibility study before launching tour packages, which are required by the ASEAN-India project," he said. "The best way to do this is to start with Thailand and Myanmar, which are strong in Buddhist culture. We can see how to combine sites in Thailand with those in Myanmar in a single trip." "The second aim was to set up a meeting venue for our travel agents to have a chance to meet and exchange information with their counterparts," he said. "The last aim was to publicise our cooperation in terms of tourism promotion, which includes Myanmar-Thailand Buddhist circuit packages to attract our third markets," he said. "We'll soon have a clear picture of how we can also connect with India, the birthplace of Buddhism." U Htay Aung, the director general of the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism, said that Myanmar was on track to start contributing to the promotion of pilgrimage tourism in the region. "We can initiate the process of distributing tourism brochures and maps, as well as developing a website," he said. Mr John Mason Florence, the executive director of the Bangkok office of Mekong Tourism, said Buddhist temples were a major draw for western tourists travelling through Asia. "Buddhist religion in Myanmar, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam and other countries is very interesting even for non-Buddhists who don't know much about the religion," he said. The work plan for the development of ASEAN-India Buddhist pilgrimage tourism calls for the promotion of such package tours at international travel fairs - such as the International Tourism Bourse (ITB) Berlin and World Travel Mart (WTM) London - to attract western tourists. Ok, I'm up for it. The idea that I have that has the most "juice" to it, the one that currently seems out of reach and unrealistic, is my idea to move into a "Vardo Van" - a totally cool, wonderfully colorful, small but efficient, van outfitted much like the Gypsy Vardo's of times gone by. Along with that dream, comes the idea of traveling here and there, blogging along the way, "pitching my tent" so to speak at various places and selling art, telling fortunes, teaching Reiki, talking to animals, telling stories, and being mysterious and magical.
The "how-to" totally eludes me. I'm thinking it would require a significant amount of money for the Vardo Van and the Laptop. Not to mention the self confidence and the courage to do all that other stuff. If I had the money - I'd swallow my fears and go for it. So... how to finance my dream. That's the question. Any ideas?

i want to create an avian rescue. i haven't had a lot of passion about anything for a long time, but when i think of those birds that need to be rescued it gives me energy and i feel the strenght it would take to do it. that says a lot to me these days!

My dream doesn't really involve myself or my family. It involves a family who are friends of mine. My friends Holly and John have a son who is now 15 years old. When he was 11 years old he suffered a stroke and is now quadriplegic. Unfortunately, he also is unable to speak even though the stroke did not affect the part of his brain involving speech. The doctors here in KC don't know why he can't speak. He has a voice but can't get words out, just various grunts. The only way this poor child has to communicate is through very time-consuming yes and no questions. He indicates yes with his eyes and no with a slight hand movement. He has an electric wheelchair but doesn't even have enough hand control to drive it himself.
The sad thing is that he is 100% "there" mentally. He can still spell his favorite word: antidisestablishmentarianism"! He attends school but most of his friends have sort of "moved on" with their lives as teenagers but he is trapped in this body that won't even allow him to speak and I know he is just so miserable! I also feel for his parents, especially Holly, who cares for him full-time.
I have written e-mails to Oprah and Montel in the past but haven't had a response. I just KNOW that if we could get Jeremy on some national show, we could get exposure to his condition and find somebody who can help him get his speech back! That would be the greatest gift we could give that family! As far as we know, he is the ONLY person to have survived a stroke such as this and lived AND still had 100% full mental capacity. Others have either died or are paralyzed, but in a vegetative state mentally. Can you imagine having a severe pain and not being able to tell anybody about it? Can you imagine needing your nose scratched and not only can you not scratch it, you can't ask anyone else to?

Okay so I like this idea of sharing our dreams. Even though we have done this before I think it is good to not only focus our dreams but to put them out there for the universe. My dream is to be the owner of the house at 1305 Owen St. in Saginaw Michigan. To have the wealth to fund or at least the start up funds for a community center where people in the community offer their skills whatever they may be to those in need of those skills. Where adults learn skills, pass along skills to others, adults or children. A place where people with time on their hands could maybe watch the children of people who need to work but can't afford daycare. Whatever the skill it is passed along to the community. From garndening to the arts, computers to automotive. This is something I have had in my heart for a long time.
I would also like to have the wealth to support artists of all kinds. There are so many talented people whose dreams of creating art are squashed by lack of money and resources. I guess I bascially want to be wealthy, wealthy enough to support others in their pursuit of fulfillment.

I'd like to cease working in an attorney's office and write. I like my job but I'd love to be creative. This would also free up time for travel to Mexico and for taking a class on meditation..maybe for learning Reiki. My guide, Ole, keeps teling me to BREATHE. It sounds so simple! I read somewhere that by focusing on the VALUES you wish to accomplish rather than on the MONEY, it helps. So I want to be wealthier, yes. But what I'm really after is FREEDOM to live the creative life I imagine. By focusing on the values I want in my life, it seems that more doors are opening. I'm still broke.. ha ha ha! but the quality time with family and friends, the opportunities to write, the travel to Mexico, all those things are coming into my life right now! Amazing!

Know that the universe is on your side and good things are waiting for you in every area of your life.
4. Decide on having a quality consciousness in the present. Living in the past is not useless--it is harmful. What good can come out of dwelling on past glories and former pains? They say it is called the present because it is a gift, and so it is. Use Today to create the Tomorrow you desire for yourself and your loved ones. Another extract below from Whitnash Parish Magazine, in 1863, with the section that begins October and the gardening tasks. There's a mention of a poor crop of walnuts, and I thought for this extract, I'd look at walnuts in England, as they are mentioned as a poor crop for that year. Walnuts do not feature much in our October foods, and we have increasingly lost the seasonality and limitation of having mainly the home grown.
Walnuts first seem to have been introduced to England at the time when it was part of the Roman Empire. Lyn Nelson notes that this came about in the Southeast, along with other fruit and vegetables that we take for granted as "home grown"
The greatest Roman influence on this sector of the economy lay in the introduction of new crops, such as cabbages, peas, parsnips, turnips, carrots, plums, apples, cherries, and walnuts.(1)
By the time of Chaucer in the late 13th and 14th century, walnuts were part of the food chain, and cultivated for domestic use:
The range of vegetables was probably less diverse than it is today, especially because of the difficulties of preservation. Onions, leeks, cabbage, garlic, turnips, parsnips, peas, and beans were all staples. Among fruits, plums, cherries, pears, grapes, strawberries, figs, and apples all grew in England. Nuts, particularly walnuts and hazelnuts, were also to be found domestically. Other vegetable foods were imported, such as almonds and dates. (2)
There is good archaeological evidence from late-thirteenth-century Southampton of a diet which, at least in the wealthier households, included hazelnuts and walnuts, raisins and figs, strawberries and raspberries, plums, cherries and sloes (3)
By the time that William Cobbett rode across England in 1893, noting all kind of information about the countryside, the cultivation of walnuts was plentiful. I've given a larger extract of each of these, so that the reader can see the walnuts and their place alongside the other cultivated crops:
Very near to Bratton Castle (which is only a hill with deep ditches on it) is the village of Eddington, so famed for the battle fought here by Alfred and the Danes. The church, in this village, would contain several thousands of persons; and the village is reduced to a few straggling houses. The land here is very good; better than almost any I ever saw; as black, and, apparently, as rich, as the land in the market gardens at Fulham. The turnips are very good all along here for several miles; but, this is, indeed, singularly fine and rich land. The orchards very fine; finely sheltered, and the crops of apples and pears and walnuts very abundant. Walnuts ripe now, a month earlier than usual.
In coming from Wootton-Basset to Highworth, I left Swindon a few miles away to my left, and came by the village of Blunsdon. All along here I saw great quantities of hops in the hedges, and very fine hops, and I saw at a village called Stratton, I think it was, the finest campanula that I ever saw in my life. The main stalk was more than four feet high, and there were four stalks, none of which were less than three feet high. All through the country, poor, as well as rich, are very neat in their gardens, and very careful to raise a great variety of flowers. At Blunsdon I saw a clump, or, rather, a sort of orchard, of as fine walnut-trees as I ever beheld, and loaded with walnuts. Indeed I have seen great crops of walnuts all the way from London. (4)
By these means I got hither, down a long valley, on the South Downs, which valley winds and twists about amongst hills, some higher and some lower, forming cross dells, inlets, and ground in such a variety of shapes, that it is impossible to describe; and, the whole of the ground, hill as well as dell, is fine, most beautiful corn land, or is covered with trees or underwood. As to St. Swithin, I set him at defiance. The road was flinty, and very flinty, I rode a foot pace; and got here wet to the skin. I am very glad I came this road. The corn is all fine; all good; fine crops, and no appearance of blight. The barley extremely fine. The corn not forwarder, than in the Weald. No beans here; few oats comparatively; chiefly wheat and barley; but great quantities of Swedish turnips, and those very forward. More Swedish turnips here upon one single farm than upon all the farms that I saw between the Wen and Petworth. These turnips are, in some places, a foot high, and nearly cover the ground. The farmers are, however, plagued by this St. Swithin, who keeps up a continual drip, which prevents the thriving of the turnips and the killing of the weeds. The orchards are good here in general. Fine walnut trees, and an abundant crop of walnuts.
The soil is somewhat varied in quality and kind; but, with the exception of an enclosed common between Funtington and Westbourn, it is all good soil. The corn of all kinds good and earlier than further back. They have begun cutting peas here, and, near Lavant, I saw a field of wheat nearly ripe. The Swedish turnips very fine, and still earlier than on the South Downs. Prodigious crops of walnuts; but the apples bad along here (5)

The days are sensibly dwindling, being now less than twelve hours long; but still October has its own charms which make it one of the pleasantest of the year. The hues of Autumn give a warm colour to the landscape, and the foliage of the trees is rich with many a varied tint, changing from day to clay. October is remarkable for the calm, quiet, soothing weather which sometime prevails throughout the month, as though the summer were pausing before its final plunge into the mists and cold of winter.
The harvest has been now fully garnered in our part of the country, and great rejoicings in the House of God, and in farmer's homes, have testified their thankfulness to the Almighty for his great bounty. The produce of the orchard has not fulfilled the promise of early blossom ; some crops, as walnuts, have almost entirely failed, while apples, pears, and stone-fruit have yielded but a moderate return.
The Garden: Clean, lightly fork, and manure asparagus beds. Earth up celery, store onions. A small breadth of German greens, planted now, will afford a supply late in spring. Thin winter spinach ; keep the soil well stirred among all growing crops. Plant cabbages for late spring use, lettuce and endive in very sheltered situations, parsley, in pots or boxes, to be protected for use in severe weather.
Root crops should be speedily stored when dry. Get all vacant land manured and trenched as soon as possible. Take up and pot such plants as it is desirable to preserve for another season. Prepare flower beds for their spring occupants. Many annuals make excellent spring beds, but Van Thon tulips, turban ranunculuses, aneanonies,
