From my experience, it seems that karma, the Law of Attraction and the Golden Rule are all essentially the same thing.
Karma naturally gives back to you what you give out, even if it takes years of our physical time for it to do so. The Law of Attraction sees you manifest based on your thoughts, feelings and the general vibration you're on, which sees you getting back what you give out to the world and the Universe.
The Golden Rule, which everybody knows, is to treat others how you wish to be treated and includes the idea that you'll then receive the same treatment back (though that's not why you do it). If you look at the driving philosophy behind each of these rules/laws, you see that they're the same law driving our existence.
Upon employing the aforementioned faith and knowing that what you've come to discover is real, you'll meet the reality of karma/the Law of Attraction/the Golden rule. You'll be able to notice when you're experiencing events in your Life that are clear manifestations of what you've given out or sewn for yourself, and the perfect and interconnected nature of our existence will become clear.
KARMA DOESN'T JUDGE
Karma isn't a law that seeks to punish us for what we've done wrong, nor is it one that judges us in any way. Karma quite literally gives back to us exactly what we've sewn for ourselves to experience, and does so in a completely neutral and non-judgmental way.
If you're one who feels yourself to be on karma's "bad side" because of things you've done or said and the resulting karmic reaction you experienced, know that you're never judged and are, in fact, loved endlessly as you continue to learn and grow.
Karma doesn't seek to hurt or punish us, but if we sew circumstances unto ourselves that could see us hurt because of our actions than we aren't denied the valuable learning experience that could result.
A toddler who's learning to walk will fall down a few times before getting it just right. When learning to talk, they'll seem to spout nonsense and scrambled-up words we label as dribble, but they're learning and growing into their ability to speak and walk and must be allotted room to make mistakes.
So it is with us humans, and as we grow into higher states of consciousness and greet greater understandings of ourselves, so do we experience growing pains at times based on the individual and collective karma we've manifested for ourselves.
Ultimately, we'll come to find that our existence is perfect and that the three laws/rules we've believed in, which are one law in reality, are realer than we've allowed ourselves to believe.
GROWING INTO ALIGNMENT WITH DIVINE WILL
As we ascend we lighten our vibration to resonate with that of the fifth dimension, and amidst increasingly resonating with that vibration we'll find ourselves growing into alignment with Divine will.
This can be a touchy subject for some people, because the idea of stepping away from the ordained freewill we've been blessed with on the Earth could herald beliefs that we'll somehow be controlled in the higher dimensions.
When stepping into our greater perceptions, we'll step out of alignment with the lower-oriented actions, thoughts and feelings we've fed into in the lower dimensions and we subsequently lose the potential and desire to think or do such things.
We could still do or think those lower-oriented things if we wanted to manually lower our vibration to resonate with the dense realms we could act upon them in, but in the higher dimensions we step out of alignment with our lower freewill (the will or desire to hurt others) and into alignment with the Divine will of our higher self (the will to spread Love, peace and harmony to as many as possible).
It should be noted that our higher self is the oversoul of the consciousness we exist in on the Earth, and that we're extensions of this oversoul. Our higher self isn't some outward Creator entity for us to give our energy to, and rather, our higher self is us in a more evolved form.
As such, stepping into alignment with the Divine will of our higher self is comparable to accepting a diploma and wearing a special hat at a graduation. It's simply a representation of the fact that we've reached newer strides in our pursuit of higher consciousness and doesn't inhibit or restrict our actual will in any way.
We've been allotted the freewill experiment on the Earth, and we've been allowed to hurt ourselves, each other and the world around us in the name of experiencing absolutely everything we sew. Humanity is now being called upon to seek spirit and our own Divine will in greater ways than we ever have, and the result could be a complete laying-down of violence and the perceived need to hurt another.
We'll step into the greatest potentials we could never imagine, and we'll help build a world that reflects the harmony and joy we'll each feel within. We can help bring this future about in this moment by seeking within, with the question of what we can do to step into our greater Divine will in this and every moment.

The final spell. Up to this point, leveling as a Sorc you will start having trouble soloing, and you will have trouble keeping up with other damaged Healers. You may start to hate your class, and ask yourself, what spell could I possibly get at 48 that magically makes Sorcerer the highest damage dealing class. Well, here it is. At Level 48 you get a spell called "BURST OF CELERITY".Up until this point, you've realized you have been living a half-life, an unfulfilled caster life. I'm going to spend a lot of time on this skill, so prepare yourself.
At first glance, this spell is very lackluster. It increases your attack spell by 20%. Now, it's important to note that in TERA, attack speed is a global stat, and you are better off thinking of it as an animation speed. Because what this stat does, is increase the animation of all of your skills. The second thing to know, is that there is a difference between attack speed, and charge speed. This spell does not effect your charging up skills, but it does effect your instant cast spells. Yes, instant cast spells are effected by attack speed. Why? Because, attack speed increases the animation. Hell, it even increases how fast you jump backward when you use Glacial Retreat. Now, 20% isn't a big deal, so the first thing you are going to want to do, when you get this spell, is glyph it so that it's 70% attack speed.
Before you get this spell, your rotation would roughly be Fire Blast, into Flame Barrage, into Void Pulse, into Flame Barrage, and repeat. Fill in with Magma Bomb, and Ice Needle, and Pain Blast, when needed. Your rotation, after you get this spell, should be something like, pass every single spell you can off, cool-down, button mash. It's for this reason that Arcane Pulse is cut, because it doesn't get boosted by this spell.
Joking aside, there's a little finesse to be used, so I'll go into the proper Sorc rotation. A typical rotation should start by using Overchannel, and if you flipped your Mana Shield for the strength boost, use it, too. Then use Burst of Celerity, and immediately cast the Fire Blast. Follow it with Void Pulse, Ice Needle, Magma Bomb, Fire Barrage, Pain Blast, Ice Needle, Fire Barrage, and then Flame Blast again, with another Over Charge. If you do it correctly, you should be able to have Celerity up for every single Fire Blast you cast, making your damage skyrocket. Maintaining this rotation will do three things. One, make Bosses die incredibly fast. Two, make you pull Agro incredibly fast, if your Lancer doesn't know what he's doing. And three, run you out of mana incredibly fast. This is why I said Mana Infusion was such an important skill. You'll want to make sure it is up 100% of the time, make sure you've glyphed everything with mana reduction, otherwise you won't be able to maintain this rotation. Even with Mana Infusion though, you'll still constantly run short on manna, unless you have TERA Mystic babysitting you with Blue Balls. Don't be afraid to throw in some Mana Siphons. Try to initiate a pull, with Mana Infusion already on yourself, before you start your first rotation, as well. This will help with your mana issues.
Also, don't forget to keep Hail Storm up. Hail Storm doesn't have a cast time, so you don't really need to use while Celerity is up. Use it during the down-time that Celerity isn't up, though Celerity has a very short cool-down of 25 seconds, while it's up-time is 15 seconds, so it should be up a lot. That's all for TERA Sorcerer guide. I hope you found this useful. Overall, Sorcs are a great AOE, and single target DPS class. But, they excel in groups, and have trouble dealing damage to highly mobile targets, or when they need to be highly mobile themselves. They are also very squishy, and can't take many hits, which is why they are fairly difficult to master.

I go by Scarlett and my blog is Books Before Bed. I've been blogging since late 2010 and love the interaction with other bloggers and feeding my addiction of finding good books to read (and sharing what I think are good books with others!). I have scoured the Internet for years in search of an old-school worker. I found Papa Ce first. However, I put him in my "maybe" basket because I was not fully convinced that he actually had the knowledge simply because he doesn't give out any works. However, many old-school workers don't like to give-up what they know to just anyone; therefore I gave him the benefit of the doubt. That benefit of the doubt was erased in his latest show.
Momma Starr was the first person online that I was convinced was an old-school worker. Not only did she give out works but the works she gave out are the same stuff that old-school workers use and would teach people. In fact, I began to listen to her blogtalkradio show and became convinced she was the real-deal when she mentioned working with medicine bottles. All the old school workers use them. Doesn't matter if the worker is black, white, or Indian, they all use them. Additionally, nobody online was writing about them. So Momma Starr is the real deal, an authentic old-school worker, in my opinion.
So in this latest show from Papa Ce, Papa Ce decides to slam Momma Starr. I thought that was uncalled for. Going further, Papa Ce talks about things incorrectly. For example, Papa Ce is on this trip to make the word 'conjure' only about working with spirits. This simply isn't true. The word 'conjure' is an archaic word that was applied to the magic practices of blacks, whites, and Indians. The word 'conjure' means to manifest something, "as if out of thin-air". Conjure is a synonym for magic and was even used for stage magicians. Yes, a worker can "conjure" a spirit; however, the term conjure doesn't mean working with spirits exclusively.
I want to add a couple of more things. Papa Ce is big on the Ibo. That's his thing. That's perfectly fine. That's his right. However, Ibo has NOTHING to do with hoodoo/rootwork/conjure. I've listened to his shows and have heard him recommend stuff that comes direct from Africa and stuff that most people cannot even pronounce. Now how in the hell were the slaves going to have access to stuff back in Africa? They were cut off. They had to adapt to the botanicals in the U.S., primarily in the South. So it's fine if anyone wants to use those items but those items are not hoodoo.
On more thing, Papa Ce speaks in this latest show about how "real hoodoos" command spirits instead of working with them. All I can say is that you just go try that for yourself. Go right ahead and start commanding spirits and treating them like your slaves and see how far you get with that approach. As far as I'm concerned, we treat the spirits just like we treat people. We don't order people around. If we need something we ask people and we treat them with respect and we show our appreciation for what they do for us. We don't treat them like dirt. As far as I'm concerned the only spirits people need to be commanding are the demonic variety and that's to command them to get off one's self or another person, to get the hell out of one's house, etc. However, this is how I was taught. If your opinions differ, that's fine with me.

The Friendly Necromancer has made his call for the Spell of the Week again, and this week it's Insane Bolt! Having a Storm wizard would be helpful here. Thankfully, Fred Goldriver was ready for action! Speaking of Insane Bolts, what are you supposed to think when you come across a level 58 with nothing but an amulet and deck that casts this spell repeatedly? Just another day in PvP, I suppose.
I decided to stop by Firecat Alley to cast my Insane Bolts - right in front of the Fireglobe Theater.
After killing myself several times, I finally got in a few hits on a few enemies. I got critical hits several times, too. Sometime on myself.
The Insane Bolt spell offers many opportunities to get great shots! There are those menacing clouds, those repeated shocks, and the possibility of hitting yourself, too!
Check out that first picture - I can just see the innocent bystander yelling to the right. I also snagged a picture of the Fireglobe Theater.
In the end, I chose a picture that included the enemy, the caster, and where the focus was the bolt with some fitting red electricity below.
While we're on the topic of spells, one of my most interesting opponents today was a level 58 character who wore only an amulet and deck and used only Insane Bolts. I fought him twice. The first time, he killed himself with the first shot. The second battle, he had a weakness, which kept his first hit under 600 damage. Unfortunately, not wearing anything isn't a very effective strategy. A Judgement quickly killed him before he could manage a second hit.
I had quite a few great opponents these past few days. I've found that I'm not only learning more about what I can do to better improve my strategy, but I'm also learning what I'd do if I were PvPing on other characters with different schools. One of my most notable battles was with Ryan Iceriver.
This quickly turned into quite the battle. I knew he'd be a tougher opponent from the start, so I was not pleased to see that my Spectral Minion turned out to be one of the most useless - the Storm version. He used many blades and several traps, but I had packed on the weaknesses and Ice shields. Instead of burning power-ups on removing shields, he summoned an Ice minion to take them down for him. Fortunately, I keep my cheap AoE, Sandstorm, around for potential minions or minor hits. He did have a fair amount of shields, namely his many towers, but Hydras work wonders on taking down a good number of shields on an opponent. Spectral Blasts and minions then also make for nice extra damage. I've always played more cautiously than not. I'll never use a spell that would put me under four to six pips the following round, and I won't Judge unless it's a simple opponent or I know that I'll be finishing them off. Ryan had healing capabilities, minions, and a good strategy going. He even killed the minion once or twice, but in the end, it was tough to balance the hitting and healing, and a Judgement did over twice the required damage to kill him. Ah, PvP.
Besides no life threats or unkind words today, I had plenty of challenging enemies, too. It isn't very fun when I can get a critical Spectral Blast and completely wipe out an enemy. And I'm always learning something new.

THE STANDARD OF THE REDE When we realize the kinds and orders of results, both expected and unexpected, both knowable and unknowable, which eventuate from almost every human action, it would seem the better part of both valor and wisdom to never do anything at all, especially not anything which is done with spiritual power guided by no more than human wisdom! Unfortunately, to do nothing is also a choice, and the results of inaction are often far worse than the results of even ill-considered action. This is why the second half of the Rede demands that we make a decision and act upon it, as well as conforming that decision to the requirement that it harm none. THE STANDARD OF THE REDE. Please note that the Wiccan Rede contains no loop-holes whatsoever. The Rede does not say, "An it harm none to the best of your knowledge." The Rede also does not say "An it harm none to the best of your ability to discern whether it will harm someone." The Wiccan Rede does not say these things, or anything similar to them. It simply says "An it harm NONE, do what ye will." This means that YOU, once you have committed to live by the Wiccan Rede, are committed to be solely and totally responsible for any harm resulting from ANY ACTION YOU TAKE, MAGICKAL OR NOT. Paul Seymour's forthcoming book begins with some strong cautionary notes concerning the use of magick. One of the examples he gives is particularly tragic, and concerns a young man who worked a simple and apparently harmless "money spell". The spell worked, and the young man got his money--he inherited it, when his parents were both killed in an accident shortly after he worked the spell. Paul does not say in his book if this young man was a Wiccan initiate. If he was, then in addition to his sorrow and loss, he has had to live with the fact that, by the standard of the Rede, he is ultimately responsible for the death of his parents. When you commit to live according to the Wiccan Rede, you commit to conform your entire life, not just the magickal, mystical and religious aspects of it, to the standard set by the Rede. Never again will you be able to act impulsively or without considering the results of what you do. Never again will you be able to act or even speak in thoughtless irritation or anger. Instead, you will come to consider the implications of every word you speak, and of every routine action you do. For it is not just by magick that we can harm ourselves or others; everything we do, and everything we say, has the potential to help or harm others, and to help or harm ourselves. It is also important to note that the Rede sets up a standard which prevents us from harming ourselves as well as others. Other religions, including Christianity, regard it as virtuous to suffer harm for the sake of another, even to die so that another person might live. The Wiccan Rede does not permit this. You are to harm none, and this means that you are not to harm yourself, even for the sake of doing good for someone else. To some, this may seem like a selfish standard. But think about it. Would you wish to benefit by someone else's injury or death? Of course not! If you did derive some benefit, such as an inheritance, from the death of another person, would you feel good about this? Well, some people might, but probably you would not. Therefore, in a very real sense, you yourself are harmed by a benefit you derive from the injury or death of another. True, the harm is emotional, but it is entirely real. Wicca recognizes that human beings are social creatures. What does harm to one, does harm to all in varying degrees. Therefore, it is imperative that each person strive to harm no one, himself or herself included. Finally, it is significant to note that word "ye" in the statement, "Do what YE will." This is the ancient plural form of "you", and it means that your individual will is assumed to be in accord with some other will, instead of acting entirely on its own. What is this other will which, together with yours, comprises the "ye" in the Rede? Well, if you are working in a coven, it could well be the combined will of the members of the coven. But this would not apply to those who are working on their own, and it is not the highest or best meaning, even for those working in coven. How does one act, so as to be certain to harm none? Not by refusing to act, since inaction is itself a decision, and often causes far more harm than even rash action. Not by delaying action until the time for it is past, because that is the same as inaction. And not by relying solely upon your own human wisdom, either. The best way to act, so as to be certain to harm none, is to call upon the Goddess and/or the God, and to hand to Them the power you have raised, together with the situation you have raised the power to deal with, and say, "You are holy, good, and wise, and know how to use this power to help and not harm. Do Your will in this situation. That is my will, that Your will be done." And thus the Rede is fulfilled: For the "ye" who will are yourself and Them- selves, who are good, and love humanity, and who always act for the highest good of all.

I know, I know, on Saturday I said that I would probably do a post yesterday on Christological prophesies in the Old Testament, and on the issue of typology, but I didn't. I'll get to it eventually, but there are a lot of other things I want to talk about in the meantime.
One of those things just appeared in my inbox this morning, with the title "EVENT: Vice President Biden Award Ceremony." My first thought was, "Seriously?" Is Georgetown really going to make a point of a "Vice President Biden Award Ceremony" in the wake of the Notre Dame fiasco, coupled with its own shameful performance, in covering up the name of Christ to appease the White House? I suppose I should preempt this discussion by saying that I love Georgetown. It's a great school (at least, the law school is - I didn't go there for undergrad), and they've been wonderful to me academically. But it's religiously anemic. There's a single Bible in our chaplet, but also a Koran and numerous other religious texts, as well as prayer rugs, and signs pointing to Mecca. They've sold out as a "Catholic" law school long ago.
Just to recap. Here's the 2004 Bishops statement on the subject,"Catholics in Political Life,":
"CATHOLIC COMMUNITY AND CATHOLIC INSTITUTIONS SHOULD NOT HONOR those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles. They should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions." (emphasis in original)
Two things separate this from the Notre Dame situation, but they're on different sides of the scale. First, Vice President Biden is a self-proclaimed Catholic. This is important because Fr. Jenkins defended honoring Obama by saying that he understood the 2004 ban to extending only to Catholic politicians because it says "Catholics in Political Life." It's a dumb argument, as the folks at Catholic culture were quick to point out. The Catholics in political life being talked about are almost certainly us, and those among us in positions to give awards, particularly. The ban says should not honor "those," not "those Catholics," or anything of the sort. Fr. Jenkins' interpretation also eviscerates the plain spirit of the rule: why would it be better to award someone who opposes Catholic social teachings, just because they also deny Catholic theology? It's a sort of "it's okay to be pro-choice, as long as you also renounce God" argument which turns arguments like "natural law is truth apparent to non-Catholics" and "make believers of all the world" on their head.
Nevertheless, if one ignored the obvious spirit of the rule (as well, incidentally, as the letter of the rule), you could come to Fr. Jenkins' conclusion. But not in this case. Biden famously proved his religious reverence by saying: "The next Republican that tells me I'm not religious, I'm going to shove my rosary beads down their throat." He's publicly identified himself as Catholic, and if Fr. Jenkins and those like him are right that Catholics should be held to a higher standard than non-Catholics (even on issues of natural law), so be it. By that standard (or any other reasonable Catholic standard), Vice President Biden fails to live up to the clear and unambiguous teachings of the Magisterium (here's a brief summary of his record, if you're not already aware).
There is one substantial redeeming factor, however. The body of the e-mail announcing this award ceremony says that the award is "for his work as the champion of the Violence Against Women Act." VAWA is about to celebrate its 15th anniversary, and Biden does deserve a lot of credit for championing the bill. I think that someone could reasonably say, Biden doesn't deserve any credit for his cowardly position on abortion ("life begins at conception, but end it if you really want to," more or less), but deserves a lot of credit for being at the forefront of an important move to protect women from domestic violence.
Nevertheless, I'm still drawn back to a central point. Georgetown decided that, in the wake of these two scandals (the Obama/Notre Dame incident, and the covering of the IHS), to move ahead with honoring Vice President Biden for something good he did a decade and a half ago. I can't escape the idea that they're trying to say something without really saying it.
