Taoism exorcism is a service we provide on chiinnature.com, and we charge money for doing the service. Sometimes I have people asking me why don't we do this for free, and they expect all religious services to be done for free, especially exorcism, which they said is because it's done for a good cause, saving lives, and helping people. I would love to have free medical care too, why don't the government or doctors work for free and so we can just live a free-life without any money spending required?
I am kind of sick and tired of seeing these people who always want things to be free, for them, and they demand me to work for free for EVERYONE. I understand that they might be working for free, but I bet they live in a wealthy family with rich daddy and mommy feeding them every day, providing the food, and living space, or even air conditioning, heating system, water, electricity and maybe even the internet service every month. Right?
In the past, I used to just ignore these people who don't understand Taoism exorcism, but today I want to directly address this problem with these people's crooked mindsets.
TAOISM EXORCISM IS A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE!
For me to be a professional Taoist master and exorcist today, I have been through a lot of experience, learning and cultivations to earn the knowledge and ability that this professional career requires. I can only compare this career of being an exorcist to being a doctor, a professional one that have to go through years of hard work and studying in school, university and finally being a real legitimate doctor. Being an exorcist is more dangerous though, it's like being a firefighter sometimes, because the problems with the client can burn and backfire at yourself if you are not capable of dealing with these cases! Just like if you stick your fingers into a sorcery attack case, and you don't have the power to win, the sorcerer can track you down and kill you first since you are their obstacles to manipulate the victim! If that's the case, your career will end right on the spot!
For me, today, running a local temple, with almost 2k monthly rentals, utility bills, and all my years of working, studying, cultivation, and all that hard work, I don't see how I do not deserve to be paid for my service. Of course, some can still say they do an exorcism and they can offer free service - because their exorcism is a scam, they don't have to go through learning, study, cultivation and hard work to gain the power or knowledge - because they have none! Then when things are that easily done, of course it's okay to be free, no hard feelings! Shame on those scammers and fraudsters who flood over the world claiming they are exorcist and offer free service. I know their service sucks, it doesn't work, and they are just offering "free" service while earning from people at the back. It's horrible!
Let's see, if Taoism exorcism should be free because it is about helping people who are in need, why isn't medical care or emergency medical care all free of charge? When you call an ambulance, you know you are paying for them to come over and pick you up, right? Then they shove you a bill at the hospital for whatever they have done to you too, without even giving you many options. Police are supposed to be keeping our place at peace, and why don't they work for free? Not forget that even you are paying tax for them to provide services, police can be very lazy and irresponsible too. If a Taoism exorcism service should be free, then everything people do for a service should be free, just to be fair. Why not?
Those who want Taoism exorcism to be free is purely and solely insulting Taoism and Taoist, which we do not tolerate. Please use your brain and think about what the reality is like before shoving me a comment like "Why don't you work for free?". I hate to say it, but this is just ridiculous and these people must be living in their rich parent's capsule all their life, without the need to sustain their own family or even feed themselves. One day, when the capsule pops, they will collapse and melt with the reality around. Hey dude, nothing is free in this world, including your mom and dad's care to you, and the food they shove into your mouth when you are crying. Taoism exorcism is not free, and cannot be free.

THE NEW OLD.
These are new products to play old school style witches. Generally speaking these are all throwbacks to the Basic or First Edition days for games like Labyrinth Lord, OSRIC or any OSR game.
CLASSIC FANTASY REVIEW: VOLUME 1, ISSUE 2
This might be one of the first Old-School style witches that I purchased. In this supplement for OSRIC we get the Diabolical Witch. A witch that gains her powers and spells from the various demon and devil lords. Its a cross between a cleric and wizard, maybe with more emphasis on the cleric side of things. The level progression is closer to the cleric than the wizard to be honest. There are new spells, just a redistribution of current OSRIC spells. They get a number of special powers, some make sense (clerical turning and shapeshift) others not as much (limited thief abilities). A nice feature is how witches of different demon lords, devils get different powers.
DARKER PATHS 2: THE WITCH
I am always a bit hesitant to review other peoples work on witch-related classes since I have products of my own out there. I fear of being too critical or too lax, each to out weigh the other. In the end I think I just need to review the product as is. Like DP1: THE NECROMANCER this product is for the "Adventures Dark and Deep" RPG, OR any other near-clone of AD not the Earth loving priestess of old faiths or even the spiritual seeking witches of modern tales. This must be recalled when reading the rest of this book. These witches are more Baba Yaga and not Circe for example. There is the obligatory disclaimer on Contemporary Witches and how this game is not that. (As an aside, as someone that has written these myself this one does seem more of a disclaimer of "don't email me" rather than a "I am not trying to offend", but that could just be me. EDITED: I did get an email clarification on this and the author was very much in the "I am not trying to offend, but these are different things" camp, which is cool by me.)
Witches in this game are all evil and their main ability is Wisdom. Their Charisma must start high, but it degrades as the witch rises in level. Interesting. I am not sure I like that since it seems here that Charisma is used as an "Appearance" proxy and not as a "Force of Personality" one. It would make it hard to make a character like Circe, who was evil, attractive and had a lot of force of personality, as a witch in these rules. That is fine, she would have to be something else, but I do want to point it out.
Witches advance to 13th level; so reminiscent of the druid. She has a nice variety of spells to choose from (more on this) and there are rules for her brewing potions and poisons. Like other witches of folklore, this witch can also have multiple familiars. A nice touch in my mind.
The spells are the real gem of this book. Nearly 50 new spells there are a lot of classics here. There are spells on Candle Magic (and done differently than my own) and nearly every base is covered (curses, storm summoning, afflicting others).
Like with DP1, the art is a mix of new and public domain art, but all of it is appropriate to the feel of the book. In the end this is a very good evil witch class. It does make me wonder how the author might do a good witch.
ACKS PLAYER'S COMPANION: THE WITCH
This one is not out yet for the public, but I have seen the witch for it. It was actually based on some OGC I produced a while back with some significant changes. I didn't write it, but it has it's DNA in stuff I did write. So I have recuse from a proper review, but I will say this: I like it a lot. It is compatible with my two other "OSR" witches but still covers new ground on it's own. At the same time is still new and fresh.
THE COMPLETE B/X ADVENTURER: THE WITCH
I have talked about the the TCBXA before, but I want to focus on the Witch class from it.
For starters the class works best if you also own the B/X Companion.
I have to play special attention to the witch. Not just because it is a witch class, but because it is different than the other spell using classes. For starters the witch can cast in groups to cast higher level spells. That is a nice feature really and something very much in tune with the archetypal witch. The witch is the class in the book that is stated up all the way to 36th level AND built to gain powers to that point, also something I rather like. Why? Because a 36th level witch is the only class that can cast 10th level spells. Yup. This one goes to 10!
Crafting spells. The witch does not memorize a spell, but she does have a limit on how many she knows. The witch needs both a high intelligence (to know the spell) and a high wisdom (to learn and scribe it down in the first place). So a first level witch with a high Intelligence knows 1+Int mod 1st level spells. She can also scribe spells of 1st level + how ever many extra levels equal to her Wisdom mod. I like it. It is a nice quick way to know what can be done. In fact I would like to use that for clerics since gods should know ahead of time what spells their flock need and then they just give them to the cleric at that time.
For the witch though I would reverse it. Intelligence to write or scribe the spell and Widsom to know how many they can cast. Witches are often called the "Craft of the Wise" afterall. But all in all I like it.
10th level witch spells are nothing at all to sneeze at. This is a powerful witch class.
The 10th level spells are a nice solution to the "Coven spells"/"Powerful magic" vs independent witches. I can't see too many witch covens in groups. Maybe two or three at a time. With what JB has done here is given us a way to have powerful magics in groups at lower levels and keep those same magics out of the hands of solitary witches till much later. This then does not make them a more attractive solution over Wizards/Magic Users.

An Extraordinary Session of the Synod of Bishops is Held
On Wednesday, July 10, 2013, an extraordinary session of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia was held, presided over by its First Hierarch, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York. Participating in the meeting were permanent members of the Synod of Bishops: His Eminence Archbishop Mark of Berlin and Germany; His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America; His Eminence Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal and Canada, and His Grace Bishop Peter of Cleveland, Administrator of the Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America.
Deliberating on the matter of Bishop Jerome of Manhattan, the Synod of Bishops made a decision as follows:
"During a meeting of the Synod of Bishops on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, presided over by the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, A DECISION WAS MADE: on the activities of Bishop Jerome of Manhattan, Vicar of the President for the Administration of Western Rite Parishes.
After exhaustive deliberation, IT WAS DECREED:
1) To halt the ordination of new clergymen for parishes adhering to the Western Rite.
2) To censure Bishop Jerome for his willfulness in administering the parishes adhering to the Western Rite, and in performing various ecclesial services not approved by the Synod of Bishops, and for criticizing his brethren in letters to clergy and laity.
3) To deny recognition of the ordination of a group of individuals by Bishop Jerome during a single divine service, and to regularize them following a thorough examination of the candidates.
4) To release Bishop Jerome from all duties, including those of Vicar of the President in administering Western Rite parishes, designating him as retired without the right to serve in the Synodal Cathedral "of the Sign" in New York, or to perform ordinations or award clergymen, and designating his place of residence at St Vladimir Memorial Church of the 1000th Anniversary of the Baptism of Russia in Jackson, NJ.
5) To bless Bishop Jerome to perform divine services within the confines of the Eastern American Diocese with the consent of its Ruling Bishop.
6) To release Monk Anthony (Bondi) from all of his administrative duties and from the spiritual ministry to the Vicariate of Western Rite Parishes.
7) To establish a commission to examine the means of integrating clergymen and communities of the Western Rite into the liturgical life of the Russian Orthodox Church, consisting of: Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, President; Bishop George of Mayfield, Vicar of the Eastern American Diocese; Protopriest David Straut of the Eastern American Diocese, and Protopriest Anthony Nelson of the Mid-American Diocese.
8) To address an epistle to the clergymen and communities of the Western Rite regarding the need for them to adopt the order of divine services of the Eastern Orthodox Catholic Church, while preserving, when necessary, certain particularities of the Western Rite.
9) To emphasize our adherence to the rules and traditions of the Eastern Orthodox Catholic Church in general and of the Russian Orthodox Church in particular.
10) To deem this decree immediately valid and to submit it to the members of the Council of Bishops in the form of a questionnaire for confirmation."

My dear friend and mermaid sister, Kim Antieau, is joining us this morning to talk about the genesis of her fabulous novel, HER FROZEN WILD.
A long time archeology buff, I was chuffed when I learned that Kim's new book was inspired by the Siberian Ice Maiden unearthed on the Ukok Plateau in the nineties by Natalia Polosmak and a team from the Russian Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography.
The ice maiden belonged to the nomadic Pazyryk culture which inhabited the Siberian steppes centuries before the Common Era, and from the artifacts found in her tomb, she was an important member of her tribe, perhaps a priestess or shaman - Dr. Polosmak believes the barrow's distinguished occupant was at the very least, a bard or sacred storyteller.
Little was ever published in translation about the Siberian "dig", but I read about it in the National Geographic and was fascinated, especially by the deer tattoo with the flowering antlers on the ice maiden's shoulder; it was as fresh and modern looking as if it had been done yesterday, and it spoke to me. I found myself sketching the tattoo and trying to think of something to do with it - years later, the design landed up on a small collection of items at Cafe Press.
Now, Kim has brought the ice maiden to life in a beautiful novel which unites the present and ancient times, and her book is superb reading, "mythic" fiction in every sense of the word.
DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS
"KIM ANTIEAU"
I have a very vivid dream life. I have since I was a child. From the ages of five until I was twenty-five, I dreamed several times a week that someone was trying to kill me. I spent many nights in my dreams running, running, running from some unknown assailant. Fortunately those nightmares have taken a backseat in my dream life for many years now and only pop up now and again. But I still have some amazing dreams.
Because I have such vivid dreams and I talk about them, my friends have often asked if my dreams inspire my stories. I didn't think so until I began to dream about bears.
Many years ago I began dreaming about bears several times a week. During one year, it seemed as though I was having bear dreams nightly. I dreamed of grizzly bears and black bears. In the dreams, the bears were often chasing my husband, Mario. I was usually trying to protect him from the bears.
In one dream I climbed a tree to escape a bear. Then I looked down at my own hands and saw they were claws: I had become a grizzly bear. In another dream, a bear was on a rampage in my neighborhood. Terrified, I confronted him. I told him I would make love with him-essentially become his bear-wife-if he would stop his violence. He agreed to my bargain.
During this time of the bear dreams, I researched bears, bear mythology, and bear folk tales. I discovered that many indigenous people believed humans and bears were related. Bears were often totem or spirit animals for healers. If someone dreamed of a bear, then she was probably a healer. Many cultures believed bears could become human and humans could shape-shift into bears.
The Siberians had elaborate rituals and ceremonies for hunting the bear, as did many Native American tribes. They believed the bear offered itself up to the hunters as a sacrifice. The hunters had to be respectful and follow the rituals carefully so that they didn't dishonor the bear or its spirit when they killed the animal.
Around the time of my bear dreams, I went to a workshop at Breitenbush Hotsprings in Oregon. Breitenbush is deep in the forest near Mount Hood, away from any town or city. The wild surrounded us. While I was there, I read an article about the Scythian mummies unearthed in Siberia. One of the mummies, the so-called "Ice Maiden," had tattoos on her body, and she'd been buried with a conical hat and other items that indicated to the archaeologists that she might have been some kind of priestess or shaman.
As I read the article, I got chills. I knew I had to write about her. I devoured any information I could find out about her, the Scythians, and the nomadic cultures of the Altai Plateau in Siberia.
The story for Her Frozen Wild began to unfold as I did research during the day and dreamed of bears during the night. It became a story about the ancient shapeshifting People who were the ascendants of the Scythians of the Altai Plateau. Tattoos and cave art became an important part of the story, too, acting as a kind of pathway to enable time-travel and shapeshifting.
Although the "plot" of my bear dreams never became part of the story of Her Frozen Wild, the dream where I placated the rampaging bear by becoming his bear-wife was at the heart of the novel. In my dream, I essentially agreed to become part of the bear clan. In the novel, the main character, Ursula, comes to terms with her own family history: Her grandmother had become a bear-wife decades earlier. More importantly, Ursula embraces her own true wild self.
Dreams can be potent symbols for our lives and creativity. I often put my own dreams in my novels as a character's dream. Dreams have their own logic, and I'm hesitant to make them up out of whole cloth, so when one of mine will work in a story, I'll use it.
In the case of Her Frozen Wild, I'm not sure the novel would exist today if I hadn't had so many dreams of bears. I always understood the visceral fear of bears human have, but because of my dreams, I also came to understand their raw power, mystery, and sacredness.
After I finished writing Her Frozen Wild, my frequent intense bear dreams stopped. Every once in a while, I will dream of a bear. I'm always glad for the dream. I feel as though I've been visited by a relative. Nowadays I'm always on the lookout for some wild or strange creature that might start frequenting my dreams. Who knows? They might just inspire my next novel.

Don't settle for second best. Go to the source. Read the primary texts.
Don't try to reinvent the wheel. You will probably be able to rediscover a few things on your own, but you don't have twenty six centuries to consider them. Only fools, rebels, narcissists and young people try to go it alone intellectually. You have one life to live and wasting years on reproducing a conclusion you can learn from Plato or Aristotle is not smart. Start at the start with Plato.
Can't understand the primary texts? Neither can I. But in saying that, we need to draw a distinction between two kinds of difficulty with these texts.
There are difficulties in primary texts that should be avoided, and difficultiesin primary texts that should be embraced.
The best way to show you this is give examples from my own experience:
In reading Plato's Republic the first time I recognised that I wouldn't be capable of understanding most of the middle books of the text without more effort than I was able to give the text this first reading. I learnt this from reading the introduction of the Penguin Classics version. This kind of difficulty is worth avoiding until I am more capable of comprehending them, and more motivated by a broader base of understanding. Had I ploughed through, I would have discouraged myself, then dispirited myself, then demoralized myself (had I kept going: I would have quit the moment I became dispirited rather than be demoralized).
Then there are difficulties with primary texts which are what Harold Bloom calls the "difficult pleasure" of a classic. Simply put, what some people might find a problem or a hassle, I find a stimulus and a challenge in these texts. The marvel of these texts is that on the other side of the difficulty is a stark simplicity that comes from their irreducible basic truth.
Intellectualism that does not respect and honour the past is snobbery and arrogance, and in fact fake or pseudo-intellectualism because it leads to circuitous ramblings which mainly appeal other to other poor people seduced by intellectual falsehood.
The basis for genuine intellectual ability is humility. Specifically, being humble enough to accept that most of the things you can usefully think have already been long since thunk by Mister Aristotle and Mister Plato!

You can also use sage leaves, seltzer water, and a dash of lemon to clean counters with as well. Before using any type of natural cleanser always look up the ingredients you are using with the type of area you wish to clean to ensure it will not harm it in any way, for example if you have granite counters, wood floors etc.
For extra punch in your cleaning products leave the water you will use as a cleansing base out under the light of a full moon to charge, or the herbal cleansing mix after you have made it. A simple way to make washes is to choose the herbs that correspond to what energy you wish to raise in your home. Steep the herbs together for 10 - 15 minutes. The add your moon water to the liquid you have made. When you wash, wash clockwise to draw positive energy, counter-clockwise to remove negative energy.

Each of us needs to find our true place, the unique coven or esoteric group which will support Divine consciousness among the collective blend of soul friends. Finding our true soul friends takes time, commitment to pathwalking, exploration, iterative self-evaluation and patience. Likely, we will be rejected and we will reject others many times upon this quest. These rejections are not value judgments, but steps upon the way toward finding our true group of soul friends.
I give thanks for the those times I have been rejected, for they have sped my way toward finding my soul friends as opposed to being held back by remaining where they are not.

My bedroom is jammed with craft supplies and tools with which I am using to handcraft items for my etsy shoppe WITCHCRAFTS by Liorah Lleucu. My own spell bottle of Passover Protection Ritual Oil stands before me as I compose this entry. I made one for my mother as well who wanted one too as soon as she saw the etsy listing and mine.
Last evening (erev Pesach, a full moon Esbat) as I was puttering around with my supplies, I set several of them on my bed as I was organizing. Among the items I set on my bed was the bowl of ceremonial white sage in pure spring water that I had been softening up to make a shamanic smudge wand. The bowl of sage water became jostled as I was moving things around and I spilled some of it on my bed and on one of my fine long black brocade witch skirts. The particular witch skirt is one a coworker recently remarked to me that it was a "beautiful" skirt, which it surely is. It's so elegant and finely flowing.
Anyway, instead of making a smudge wand with this batch of white ceremonial sage, I decided to offer the softened sage and the sage water to the Land instead. And I did so under the power of the full Raven moon of erev Pesach, offering it to the spirits of the Land right outside the door of the house beside the porch on the right.
Later this morning, I had a waking vision of unseen forces working together trying to pull my bed out the door of the house. The doorframe was bulging as the unseen forces worked together trying to pull it out, but the Force inside the house and door frame resisted, keeping the bed securely and completely inside the house. The manner in which the door frame resisted reminded me of a biological opening, with strong muscles contracting closed. I felt the forces trying to pull the bed out of the house were baneful forces, seeking to steal my blessing in some manner.
The forces trying to pull the bed out of the house through the door were facing and pulling directly opposite the door from upon the concrete sidewalk (in contradistinction to the spirits of the Land on the right side of the door where I had offered my sage and sage water). In other words, the spirits of the Land were in alignment with the Guardian of the house which rested upon the Land. The forces working from the concrete were alien forces.
Clearly, the spirits of the Land and the Guardian of the house are superior in strength to the alien forces which sought to steal my blessing.

If insider traders can make millions based on having a pretty good idea of what a stock is going to do a day in advance, just think of how well an effective precognitive could do.The Washington Post has an article up today about Shari Arison, one of the richest women in the Middle East. What makes Arison more interesting than your run-of-the-mill oligarch is that she does in fact claim to have the power to see the future.But the biggest jolt comes from the woman in the executive chair: Arison -- billionaire (2.7 by Forbes's most recent estimate), perhaps the richest woman in the Middle East, a major force in Israeli philanthropy -- claims that she can see the future. This is much bigger than a parlor trick. In her new book published this summer in Israel, the 51-year-old Miami native says she felt the Indonesian tsunami sweeping over the land two months before it happened and sensed Hurricane Katrina pummeling New Orleans. In an interview, Arison says she also "saw the writing on the wall" before the global economic crash.Such psychic powers would certainly be useful to any high-rolling business executive. In fact, if you really had the ability to look into the future far enough to see the results of any business deal it seems unlikely that you would ever fail. Much of Arison's wealth was inherited so it's hard to see how her alleged powers could have influenced her overall station in life, but it is true that she has done very well for herself, substantially better than many of her economic peers.Still, one wonders how much of this is really rationalization after the fact. We don't have any evidence that would allow us to determine how effective Arison's predictions are since she has never publicized them. It certainly would have been nice of her to notify somebody about the Indonesian tsunami or Hurricane Katrina or the recent economic crisis.Reading about Arison's extrasensory perception makes you ache for a heads-up, maybe a blog entry or a tweet or a phone call to Brownie or Greenspan or somebody who might have "helped".The honest truth, though, is that without a solid track record she probably wouldn't have been believed anyway. Psychics, even rich ones, are not taken seriously by the powers that be in our society, and it's understandable that Arison hasn't come forward with her claims before now. However, according to her recent book this reticence regarding announcing her predictions may be changing soon. If she indeed starts making her predictions public it will become possible to get some idea of whether or not her powers really work or if she is simply a good guesser.Arison explains that she has finally dropped the fear that has held her back from doing more about what she has perceived. Armed with the insight gained through work with Florida-based psychiatrist Brian Weiss, a proponent of regression therapy and the exploration of (take your pick) deep memories or past lives, she says she is ready to go public with her visions and bring together her spiritual and business goals.As a magical researcher I'll be on the lookout for any of Arison's predictions that are announced in the media ahead of time and are testable. If they turn out to be accurate, maybe the skeptics are right and psychics really do wind up rich - at least if they have enough working capital to start with.

Starting in this month, esoteric lecturer Ken Rees is running his second series of evening classes in London on The Mystery Traditions: Past and Present. Although this follows on from his earlier course on the classical mystery traditions, you don't need to have studied that to get a lot out of this series of evening classes.
The course description says:
The Mystery Traditions of Europe did not die out consequent on the rise of Christianity from the 4th - 5th CE. centuries onwards. The need of many people to find solace in esoteric rather than exoteric institutions continued, often discretely and covertly. While we only have a broken chain of links from the classical Mediterranean schools to the present day, various orders and societies have carried secret knowledges forward including the Knights Templars, the medieval witch cult and the revived gnosis of the Albigensians.
The 17th and 18th centuries saw a re-invention of tradition. This creative activity expressed itself in a myriad ways, key representatives including Druidism (under the inspiration of a Celtic revival), the Rosicrucians and Freemasonry, while the Christian mystery tradition included that of the mystic Emanuel Swedenborg. Similarly, the 19th century saw a revival of Renaissance magic best exemplified by the original Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.
The 20th/21st centuries have seen the rise of eclectic New Age philosophies including the Arcane School of Alice Bailey, Neo-Platonic groups such as the Universal Order and, within the Christian tradition, the Anna Kingsford influenced Order of the Cross. A number of hermetic societies on both sides of the Atlantic now exist, often incorporating the phrase `golden dawn'. While contemporary nature religion such as the Wicca version of witchcraft also embodies elements of mystery tradition as does neo-shamanism.
This course will explore some of the examples given above.You can learn about the Mystery Traditions at the six-week course on Tuesdays evenings from 8pm to 10pm, starting on 19 February and running until 26 March. Fees are lb47, or lb16 for concessions.
