I have a request for advice on the matter of constructing Enochian tablets. I've already acquired acrylic paints and intend to use stencils for the lettering process. My Enochian partner and I have constructed the Tablet of Union using the flat board model, and are curious as to how we should proceed with the remaining tablets. What are some experienced practitioners opinions on using a flat, two dimensional board for this work per Dee and Kelly's original model vs. constructing three dimensional pyramid blocks which are (obviously) suitable for inversion and rotation, and which many modern Thelemic magickians are choosing to work with? We've done quite a bit of research and there are so many opinions on, for instance, the Internet which I'm always skeptical of accepting, as I don't know the sources and cannot assess the quality of results of the "experts" who are offering up the goods.
I've come across quite a few different perspectives on the pros and cons of both from several Enochian magickians whom I know personally and respect. I'm open to hearing opinions from devotees of both schools of thought, from the Dee and Kelly traditionalists to the subscribers to Lon Duquette's approach to Enochian, who care to offer their preferences and explain why they've chosen either model, bearing in mind that we are beginners and do not wish to wind up chewing on our own tongues in pretty white straightjackets staring at padded walls. (That was a joke for the literal minded...at least I hope so). Actually we're reading every bit of information we can get our hands on in preparation for this work, however the question of choosing to produce the most effective style of boards continues to hang in the balance. Also, we're working with The Complete Enochian Dictionary by Donald Laycock as a guide and reference for understanding language/grammar/syntax and pronunciation. Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions.
